| Mathematics is a highly logical and abstract discipline, most of abstract mathematical contents cannot be visually observed and perceived. While visualization refers to the visualization of abstract, incomprehensible processes and things into the pictorial representation such as graphic images, animated videos, etc. In the era of rapid development of information technology,it is particularly important for teachers to learn how to use information technology to conduct visual teaching. In order to explore ways to improve the visual teaching design competencies of pre-service mathematics teachers, this paper makes a quasi-experimental research and puts forward the following two problems:(1)What is the current status of visual teaching design competencies of pre-service mathematics teachers?(2)How about the impact of integrated technology teaching and training on the visual teaching design competencies of pre-service mathematics teachers? The researcher constructs a visual teaching design competencies model on the basis of studying a large number of literatures such as visualization, visual teaching,TPACK theory and activity theory. And it utilizes the tool-based case study method to conduct research, there are a total of 15 pre-service math teachers(2 males and 13 females)participating in the experiment. In the latter part of the experiment, the researcher selects three representative preservice math teachers, the paper analyzes the visual teaching design competencies of three pre-service math teachers before and after the experiment through using some kinds of methods such as classroom observation and video recording and document collection methods. The study found that the visual teaching design competencies of pre-service math teachers has undergone some changes after a week of teaching and training. They have significantly improved in the four dimensions of visual resources and their tools, the depth of visual representation, the accuracy of visual representation, and the application design of visualization technology. Therefore, the paper can be concluded that the teaching and training of integrated technology can effectively improve the visual teaching design competencies of pre-service mathematics teachers. |
