Study On Body Composition Of Four Mongolian Groups In Three Northeast Provinces

Body composition and its changes are closely related to health.Body composition is an important index for evaluating health.Mongolian is one of the main minorities in China,and there are many tribes in it.In order to study the characteristics of body composition of Mongolians in three northeastern provinces,the research team went to Harqin left wing Mongolian autonomous county,Fu Xin Mongolian autonomous county of Liaoning province,Qian Gorlos Mongolian autonomous county of Jilin province and Duerbote Mongolian autonomous county of Heilongjiang province in August 2016 to measure the body composition of Mongolians.A total of 1452 Mongolian adults(males:556,females:896)were measured,including 408 Harqin Left Mongolians(males:136,272:females),404 Fu Xin Mongolians(males:158,females:246),401 Gorlos Mongolians(males 177,females 224),239 Duerbote Mongolians(males:85,females 154).The results of the study were summarized as follows:(1)According to BMI,the overweight and obesity rates of males and females of four Mongolian groups in three northeastern provinces are higher.(2)The visceral fat level of males are positively correlated with age,while the percent trunk fat and visceral fat level of females are positively correlated with age.The percent body fat,percent trunk fat and visceral fat level of Fu Xin Mongolian males were lower than the other three ethnic groups.Except for visceral fat level,the other six fat indexes of males are lower than those of females in four ethnic groups.The rate of visceral fat level exceeding the standard is higher in males and lower in females of four ethnic groups.(3)Total body muscle mass,trunk muscle mass of four Mongolian groups in males and females in three northeastern provinces are negatively correlated with age.The body muscles of males and females in the four ethnic groups are well developed.The muscular development of males in the four ethnic groups are similar to that of Alxa Heshuo,Qinghai Heshuo Mongolian.The muscle development level of Harqin Left,Golros and Duerbote Mongolian females are close to that of Dongxiang and Qiang,and that of Fuxin Mongolian females are close to that of Han in Jinzhou.(4)The skeletal development level of four Mongolian groups in three northeastern provinces in males and females are higher.Bone mass is negatively correlated with age in both males and females.The difference of bone mass between age groups is mainly manifested in that the 60-80 age group is lower than the other three age groups.(5)Except for Fu Xin Mongolian male percent body water in the normal range,the other three ethnic groups are slightly lower than the normal range.The percent body water of female in the four ethnic groups are within the normal range.(6)The development of body composition of four Mongolian groups of males in three northeastern provinces are similar,and are close to that of Han in Jinzhou.On the whole,the development of fat and muscle are at a medium level,higher than that of Sichuan,Hainan and Yunnan ethnic groups,and lower than that of western Mongolians.The development of body composition is similar among the four female groups,and the level of fat and muscle development is higher in general.(7)The level of subcutaneous fat development are higher in males and females of the four ethnic groups,and are close to that of the Barag Mongolians and Ordos Mongolians in Inner Mongolia.(8)The body circumference of Golros and Duerbote Mongolian males are close to that of Barag and Ordos in Inner Mongolia.The chest is broad,thighs,calves and upper arms are thicker,and forearms are slimer.The body circumference of Harqin Left Mongolian and Fu Xin Mongolian males are close to that of Han.The chest circumference,calf circumference and biceps circumference are medium,the calf is thicker and the forearm is slender.The body circumference of Harqin Left,Fu Xin and Golros Mongolian females are close,while the chest circumference,biceps circumference and calf circumference are moderate,thighs are thicker and forearms are slender.Chest of Duerbote Mongolian females are wider,biceps,thighs,calfs are thicker,and forearms are slender.The incidence of abdominal obesity are higher in males and females of four groups.(9)The occurrence rates of mndomorph-mesomorph,endomorphic mesomorph and mesomorphic endomorph of four male Mongolian ethnic groups in three northeastern provinces are higher.The somatotypes of females in the four ethnic groups are concentrated in mesomorphic endomorph.In the mass,males and females of four ethnic groups are chubby,muscles and skeleton are developed,and body linearity are poor.(10)Percent body fat,muscle mass and bone mass of four Mongolian groups in northeast provinces are positively correlated with six skinfold thickness,nine circumference,endomorphy and mesmorphy,but negatively correlated with ectomorphy.
