Man has never stopped their steps on the way to explore knowledge, but there is no single answer for "what is knowledge?" "How is knowledge produced?".Quine's naturalized epistemology focuses on "how to produce surging outputs from poor input",discussing in what ways can humans produce about the theory of the world from the sensory stimulation through semantic ascent, behaviorism of meaning theory and the theory of language learning, and transform epistemology theme into "how to explain the relationship between observation sentence and scientific theory".In the process of naturalizing epistemology, some scholars, represented by Putnam and Kim,have questioned whether this new epistemology has retained the proper normativity of epistemology. They respectively criticized naturalized epistemology from the angle of truth and knowledge. In the face of their doubts, this paper restate Quine's view of truth and his theory of knowledge, restore Quine's intention and reject the challenge. In order to better maintain the naturalized epistemology which still keeps the normativity of epistemology,in the last chapter of this thesis,I explain the differences of normativity between traditional epistemology and naturalized epistemology, combing the relationship between normativity and descriptivity, putting forward the perception between normativity and descriptivity, and reconstruct the assumption of normativity to defend the existence of the normativity. In writing the thesis,I use the methods of comparative analysis to study Quine's naturalized epistemology through combing, analyzing and introspecting the contents of the original works and related works. The paper is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the background of the paper and the current research situation at home and abroad;the second part describes the continuous development of normativity issues and the process of Quine's epistemology naturalization;the fourth part reconstructs the normativity position in naturalized epistemology by analyzing the relationship between normativity and descriptivity.
