Conventional seismic exploration the formation as a completely elastic medium, but the actual formation medium is more close to the viscoelastic medium is different from completely elastic medium, the actual formation wave energy dissipation, which reduces the frequency of the amplitude attenuation and Q value is usually used to describe the wave propagation in dielectric absorption characteristics in the process of seismic exploration, the Q value formation attenuation characteristics can be analyzed and provides energy compensation information, aided the identification of lithology and pore fluid in this paper,we study using VSP data extraction and Q value, and the inverse Q filtering technology based on its application in practical production. As for the estimation of quality factor, this paper introduces the centroid frequency shift analysis method and spectral ratio method of VSP(Vertical Seismic Profiling)data.Through the model example, different methods are used to estimate Q value. After the analysis and comparison of the results, the optimal method to extract quality factor is determined Inverse Q filter test for actual data, this paper introduces the principle and three types of inverse Q filtering method in practical production on the basis of the theory of two kinds of inverse Q filtering technology, through the instance model, using the extracted file quality factor, respectively, using the hybrid inverse Q filtering technology and wave equation inverse Q filtering techniques for processing, through the comparative analysis on the result, determine the optimal inverse Q filtering processing of real data last using the actual data processing technology, verify the validity and practicability of the method.
