Wheat is one of the three main staple foods in China, and its sown area and grain output rank among the top three in China's grain crops. It plays an important strategic role in promoting economic development and ensuring food security in China. As the main province of wheat production in China, the main wheat producing areas are studied. The wheat production efficiency in the main wheat producing areas is studied to enhance China's wheat production capacity, promote the coordinated development of the grain industry, protect the wheat farmers in the main wheat producing areas, and promote agricultural supply-side reforms.Aspect has an important impact. In the context of the “Central Government Document No.1” proposed in 2020,“optimizing the layout of planting areas and supporting the core areas of food production”,it is of utmost importance to study the significance of wheat production efficiency in the main wheat producing areas. Therefore, this paper analyzes the current situation of wheat production, the problems faced by supply-side reforms, and the causes, estimates the wheat production efficiency in the main wheat producing areas, finds out the influencing factors and reasons, and proposes positive policy recommendations to ultimately improve the country's development. The purpose of wheat production efficiency. This study is divided into four parts: The first part uses the data of main wheat producing areas, and applies quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to analyze the current status of wheat production in major wheat producing areas, the problems facing supply-side reform, and the causes. In the second part, the super-efficiency SBM model and Malmquist index were used to analyze the static and dynamic effects of wheat production efficiency. In the third part, the influencing factors are analyzed by using the fixed effect model. The fourth part, put forward the corresponding policy recommendations. The conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)On the whole, the wheat production efficiency in the main wheat producing areas of China is not high. The low comprehensive technical efficiency is the main reason for the low wheat production efficiency in China. The pure technical efficiency and low scale efficiency are the secondary reasons.Secondly, from the perspective of time evolution,China 's wheat production efficiency as a whole declined first, then increased and then decreased. The wheat production efficiency in the lowest purchase price enforcement region is on the rise, and the non-execution region wheat production efficiency is in the decline state.Third, from the perspective of regional differences, the provinces with higher efficiency are basically located in the lowest wheat purchase price execution area, and the provinces with lower efficiency are basically in the nonexecution area.Among them, the total factor productivity in the eastern and central regions is higher than the national average, and the total factor productivity in the northeast and western regions is lower than the national average.(2)From the overall regression results of the 14 provinces in the main wheat producing areas, the proportion of agricultural labor has a significant negative impact on wheat productivity.Fiscal support for agriculture, disaster resistance, and wheat prices have a significant positive impact on wheat productivity.Chemical fertilizers,Pesticide, agricultural film, mechanization level had no significant effect on wheat productivity.Secondly, from the regression results of the implementation area and non-execution area of the minimum purchase price policy for wheat, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and agricultural films have a significant positive impact on wheat productivity in the implementation area, and the proportion of agricultural population has a significant negative effect on wheat productivity in the implementation area The level of financial support for agriculture has a significant positive impact on wheat productivity in the executive and non-executive areas, and disaster resistance has a significant positive impact on wheat productivity in the non-executive areas.Wheat prices have no effect on wheat productivity in the executive and non-executive areas.Significantly.
