Ocean tidal current energy,as a new green energy,has received the widespread attention in the field of energy.The turbine is a key part of the energy acquisition and conversion of the tidal energy power generation device,which will directly affect the power generation efficiency.The hydrodynamic performance of turbine blades is directly related to their energy efficiency,so more efficient,reliable and applicable blades are yet to be designed and developed.In this paper,the vertical axis three-blade tidal energy turbine is taken as the research object.The effects of different opening form on the hydrodynamic performance of the vertical axis tidal energy turbine are studied.The main research contents are as follows:(1)The basic form of the original airfoil blade of vertical axis tidal current turbine is designed.A three-dimensional numerical model of the turbine is established by using STARCCM+ software,and five tip speed ratios are set up to verify the rationality of the numerical simulation.(2)The moment curve,velocity nephogram and pressure nephogram of the turbine under the speed ratio of each blade tip are obtained by numerical simulation.The average output power of the turbine is changed with the tip speed ratio,and the results are compared with the test results.(3)Based on the original airfoil blade,a new type of blade with opening is designed.The opening directly penetrates the blade.When the diameter of the opening is 4 mm,the ratio of the opening distance to the chord length of the blade is 10%,20%,30%,respectively,as working condition 1,working condition 2 and working condition 3;the diameter of the opening is 3 mm,2 mm,respectively recorded as working condition 4 and working condition 5;The angle between the opening direction and the chord length direction of the blade is defined as the opening angle,which is 60°?90°?120°?150°,respectively,and is recorded as working condition 6,working condition 7,working condition 8,working condition 9 respectively.The three-dimensional hydrodynamic calculation model under each working condition was established.STAR-CCM+ software was used to study the influence of blades with different types of openings on the hydrodynamic performance of vertical axis turbines.The numerical simulation results of blades with different openings are compared and the optimum blade openings are obtained.
