Solid buoyancy material is a kind of composite material,with low density,high strength and low water absorption rate.Its function is to provide buoyancy for the equipment of underwater operation and ensure its effective load.In this paper,a kind of solid buoyancy material was prepared with AG-80 epoxy resin as matrix,DDM as curing agent and HGM as light filler,and their performance was characterized.In addition,another kind of solid buoyancy material was prepared with a new curing agent which is made from the physical blending of DDM and m-XDA.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)By differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)getting the isothermal curing reaction curve of AG-80/DDM curing system and new curing system of mixed curing agent.The curing kinetics was studied by applying the method of multiple scanning rate,and the curing process of the system was determined respectively.(2)A kind of solid buoyancy material was prepared with AG-80/DDM curing system as matrix and HGM as light filler,by the obtained curing process.The addition amounts of HGM were respectively 40%v,45%v,50%v,55%v and 60%v.The performance of the solid buoyancy material was characterized by the density test,compression performance test and water absorption test;(3)Blending DDM and m-XDA as the mass ratio of 1:1 to get a kind of liquid curing agent(DDM-m-XDA).Preparing solid buoyancy materials with the new curing system(AG-80/DDM-m-XDA).Characterizing the performance of the new system by testing,and analyzing the difference of AG-80/DDM system and it.
