Cut And Paste Method And Its Application In Seismology

This article discusses the application of the method of Cut and Paste.This article has tried to use Cut And Paste method to inverse the mechanisms of Taiwan Chichi earthquake's aftershocks.168 aftershocks has been inversed,including 12 aftershocks above magnitude 5 and 7 aftershocks above magnitude 6.I have found a strong relativity between epicenters and magnitude and that the most aftershocks' mechanisms,mostly strike slips,are different with the principal earthquake's,which is a dip slip.And,this article has used gCAP program to inverse Rongchang mb 4.8 earthquake in the December of the year of 2016,I found its ISO percent is 48%.With the public report about shale gas hydrofracture about this district,It indicates this earthquke has a strong connection with ehydraulic fracturing.And,I have found gCAP is a good way to indentify an induced earthquake.Besides,I build Oh My Cap repo on Github to build a platform a dicussing and developing gCAP.
