Zou Zunxian,styled DaTing,a native of HanKou,HuBei Province,was an active mathematician in the late Qing dynasty.This paper mainly studies the three works of Zou Zunxian,Fen Lei Yan Dai nine volumes,(1904),Yuan Dai Kai Fang Tong Yi one volume(1905),and Suan Xve Ke Yi(1906).Through the study of Zou Zunxian's three works,this paper explores his contributions to the development of mathematics in China and the education of mathematics in the late Qing dynasty.Zou Zunxian's Fen Lei Yan Dai,nine volumes(1904),the performance of all nine categories:add and subtract,the recursive folded,diminishing additive,super bit add and subtract,add and subtract and the levy,functional equation,Ning Nv,Gou Gu,triangle.This work is for beginners to use with the original book,introduction to algebra,by analogy.Yuan Dai Kai Fang Tong Yi one volume(1905)by Zou Zunxian solves eight problems including the cube,the third,the fourth,the fifth,and the relative power.The first part of the equation,such as the product of the elimination,and its square.Then the third power,fourth power,fifth power,sixth power of algebra formula,each of its known number on the left,the alternative and the number of heaven,exactly the same.That is,more than seven miscellaneous square variety,its flexibility also why different.The purpose of the book is to solve the higher order equation by combining algebraic number technique with Tian Yuan method.Suan Xve Ke Yi(1906),written by Zou Zunxian,contains 27 questions in a volume,which is mainly divided into two parts: geometry and algebra.There are 18 problems in the geometry part,including 4 problems of regular polygon,3 problems of triangle,6 problems of circle,3problems of ellipse and 2 problems of trig function.There are 9 problems in the algebra part,including 3 problems of applying fraction operation,1 problem of comparing two Numbers,1problem of identity proof,1 problem of continuous proportion and 3 problems of golden section.Most of the titles are from the original geometry,algebra,generation of micro-product collection and other works.Fen Lei Yan Dai not only has the traditional Chinese hook art and other contents,but also has the knowledge of trigonometry introduced by the west.However,it is more focused on traditional Chinese knowledge and less concerned with the knowledge and content introduced from the west.Yuan Dai Kai Fang Tong Yi in the use of Qin Jiushao Zheng Fu Kai Fang Shu can be used to solve the root of the positive integer higher order equation.The Zou's method has some limitations,so it is impossible to get a general method to solve the higher order equation of one variable with a multi-digit root.Suan Xve Ke Yi selects the topic of moderate difficulty,the routine problem solving,compared with the art of the same period,relatively simple,suitable for beginners to use.
