With the development of laser technology,optical fiber is more and more widely used in transmitting high power laser.Fiber end face preparation is an important process for building high-power fiber laser systems,which directly determines the subsequent fiber fusion quality and laser transmission thermal effects.Therefore,mastering the fiber cleaving process and building a high-precision fiber cleaving platform is of great significance to the production of high-power fiber lasers with completely independent intellectual property.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the basic overview of fiber end face preparation and fiber cleavers,and expounds the status quo of fiber cleaving equipment and cleaving technology at home and abroad.The second part analyzes and studies the fracture problem of brittle solid materials such as glass fiber,explains the definition of fiber end face quality,discusses the influence of fiber end face angle on fiber splice loss,analyzes the influencing factors of fiber end face angle,and expounds the topographical features of the fiber-cleaving end face.The third part analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of the two clamping methods between clamp clamping and liquefied alloy clamping,the advantages and disadvantages of three methods of incision making,including rotating cutter vibration,piezoelectric ceramic bending piece vibration and ultrasonic vibration.It analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of the two fiber tensioning methods between mechanical tensioning and motor driving,optimized methods of the glass fiber end cutting equipment are determined.In the fourth part,through the design and selection of various module components,the fiber cutting mechanical system is built,and the cutting tool movement is programmed based on Labview to form an automatic fiber cleaving equipment.A test is made on the cleaving end face of the glass fiber,verifying the feasibility of the cleaving equipment...
