| With the advent of the 5G era,the amount of information transmission has exploded.In today’s society,the demand for optical fiber communication systems with large transmission capacity and low cost is increasing day by day.Thanks to the emergence and development of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing(DWDM)technology,wavelength-tunable lasers have been valued by scholars and research institutions at home and abroad.In recent years,a compact,low-cost tunable laser has been proposed-a V-cavity tunable semiconductor laser,and it is gradually moving towards industrialization.This article mainly studies the four-channel tunable laser chip array module.This module uses V-cavity tunable semiconductor laser chip array as the core.Firstly,the chip array is packaged with an aluminum nitride carrier;secondly,the COB packaging model is used,and the TEC and the PCB adapter board are soldered first,and then the PCB adapter board and the TEC are fixed on the heat sink.Finally,the aluminum nitride carrier is fixed on the TEC and electrically connected to the PCB adapter board by wire bonding,thereby completing the module packaging.Next,the packaged four-channel tunable laser chip array module with excellent performance is coupled with fiber array,and the process consists of the following three steps:coarse adjustment,fine adjustment,and glue fixing.After coupling with fiber array,the relevant technical indexes of the module are tested.The test results show that the four channels of the same laser array module can achieve the same 24-channel continuous tuning in the range of 1542.97nm to 1561.46nm under the same temperature control.What’s more,the center wavelength deviation of each channel is less than ± 0.01nm,the side mode rejection ratio is greater than 36dB,the power adjustable range is up to 3dB,and the wavelength-tuning crosstalk is less than 0.2nm.The measured relative intensity noise is-130.093dB/Hz,the divergence angle in the X direction is 19.6671°,and the divergence angle in the Y direction is 21.8844°.All these indicators can meet the requirements of application,and the module will have certain social and market application value. |
