In China,with the rapid development of society,the population has been on the increase,resulting in more and more urban garbage.The method of landfill is widely used due to its simple technology and low maintenance cost.However,many problems will occur in the process of landfill,such as gas pollution and leakage pollution.Gases will contribute to the aggravation of the greenhouse effect and will cause air pollution.Leakage pollution will threaten human life and production,destroy the ecological environment,and cause very serious consequences.As a newly emerged discipline,environmental geophysics can show its unique advantages and have a good effect on environmental problems that cannot be solved by traditional methods.It plays a more and more important role in the research and application of environmental pollution.Therefore,geophysical method can be used to solve and monitor landfill leakage effectively.This paper mainly introduces the principle of high density electrical method and ground penetrating radar method.Compared with the traditional resistivity method,the high-density electrical method has many advantages,such as high collection efficiency and stronger exploration ability.This paper compares and analyzes several main devices of high density electrical method,discusses the data distribution of various measuring devices,and discusses their advantages and disadvantages respectively.The method technology and resolution of GPR are also discussed.In this paper,the high-density resistivity method was simulated using the forward modeling software RES2 DMOD,aiming at the four situations of construction waste and domestic waste landfill sites and their leakage.The apparent resistivity profile obtained by different devices would be different,and the abnormal body would be reflected differently.In this paper,We analyzed and summarized the responses of forward modeling objects.For the numerical simulation of GPR,the software Gpr Max3.0 is mainly used to establish the landfill site model with different sizes,burial depths and leakage depths according to the needs,and the forward modeling is analyzed.According to the numerical simulation results,the law is obtained.These rules will help us to better understand these two methods and lay a foundation for the interpretation of geophysical prospecting results and abnormal bodies.In this paper,field measurements of two landfill sites in Baoding,Hebei province were carried out,and two geophysical methods,high density resistivity method and ground penetrating radar method,were used respectively.By analyzing the measured section,the conclusion is drawn.High density resistivity method and ground penetrating radar(GPR)method have good effects on the garbage landfill monitoring.Therefore,according to the actual situation of the site required by the depth of exploration and other requirements to choose the appropriate geophysical exploration method,which can make the exploration effect good,more accurate interpretation.
