Geological disasters refer to geological effects or geological phenomena that are formed under the effects of nature or human living production,which could let human losses their lives or properties,and could cause damage to the environment.The main types of geological disasters in Ning Xia province are landslides,collapses,debris flows and ground subsidence.This paper studies the development characteristics and risk assessment of geological disasters in Yuanzhou District of Guyuan City,Ningxia draw support from the demonstration project of the characteristic industry development of the loan advantage of Ningxia International IFAD.The study area is located in Touying Town and Hechuan Township,Yuanzhou District,Guyuan City,Ningxia Hui Autonomous region.Due to dry climate,less rainfall,the local economic development is lagging behind.Before the 1980s,the ecological environment was relatively fragile due to excessive reclamation and grazing.In recent years,although governments at all levels have attached great importance to the introduction of policies such as forbidding grazing,returning farmland to forests and returning grass,and the implementation of the principle of"who develops and who protects",the ecological environment in the region has gradually improved.However,most of the alluvial plain area has been transformed into good farmland.Industrial and agricultural production is booming,social and economic development has been rapidly improved,but ecological environment is still fragile,with the increase of human engineering activities,it will promote the sustainable development of geological disasters in this area,and then affect the production and living order of local residents,threatening the safety of people's lives and property.After fully understanding the characteristics of the study area,then collect fully the geological,hydrogeological,engineering geology,environmental geology and meteorological hydrology of the area,and carry out comprehensive analysis.Meanwhile,carry out comprehensive investigation of geological environment conditions and geological disasters,find out the present situation of geological hazards in this area,including the type,distribution,scale,developmental characteristics,triggering factors and so on.It is concluded that there are debris flow,landslide,collapse and unstable slope geological hazards,Among them debris flow geological hazard 2,Landslide geological hazard 1,Four collapses,1 unstable slope;There are debris flow,landslide and unstable slope geological hazards in Hechuan Township,Among them debris flow geological hazard 2,Six landslides,Unstable slope 3.On that basis,evaluate its developmental degree,harmfulness,and geological hazard risk prediction and assessment and comprehensive zoning,It is concluded that the area of geological hazard threat to the proposed project in Touying Town of Yuanzhou District is divided into the middle area of geological hazard risk,7.52 km~2,area 8.36%of the total area;The area of the proposed project is divided into the middle area of geological hazard risk,6.46 km~2,area It accounts for 8.16%of the total area.This paper further analyzes the present situation and existing problems of disaster prevention and control in Yuanzhou District of Guyuan City,and put forward the corresponding prevention and control measures and further work suggestions,and provide a basis for disaster prevention and control in the whole region which plays the maximum guiding role.
