| During the period of rapid development of China’s nuclear industry,people are paying more and more attention to the impact of nuclear radiation safety,and it is of great significance to discuss effective radiation protection materials for the nuclear industry.In this paper,starting from the field of radiation protection,four types of silicone rubber composite materials were prepared.The protective effects and influencing factors of the materials were studied.The main results are as follows:(1)According to the shielding principle of γ-rays and neutrons,iron,barium carbonate,barium sulfate,and lead were used as fillers,respectively,and silicone rubber-based composite materials with different performance materials were prepared by mechanical blending,and this was also studied The γ-ray shielding properties of the four types of materials mainly calculate the physical quantities such as shielding rate,linear attenuation coefficient,and mass attenuation coefficient,the factors that affect the shielding effect,and the microscopic properties of the material.The results of experiments and calculations show that when the mass of the filler is increased in the silicone rubber,the density of the silicone rubber-based material increases,so that the shielding property to γ rays is also improved.However,when the mass of the filler content is greater than 40%,the mechanical properties of the material begin to deteriorate,the appearance begins to be rough and uneven,and the filler and silicone rubber are not mixed evenly,resulting in more bubbles in the composite material,reduced toughness,and the material is easily broken.(2)The model of MCNP and Win Xcom was used to calculate the linear attenuation coefficient of the prepared material.Compared with the experimental value,the deviations between the experimental value and MCNP and the experimental value and Win Xcom were calculated respectively are within a reasonable range.(3)The prepared silicone rubber composite material was used to simulate the protective effect on neutrons.The radioactive source was Am-Be neutron source.The neutron shielding effect of changes in neutron energy and fillers was studied by calculating the neutron transmittance.Research.The simulation results show that the shielding effect of materials on neutrons is related to the energy of neutrons.When the neutron energy is between 0.5 and 2 Me V,the shielding property becomes weaker;when the neutron energy is between 2 and 4 Me V,in this interval As the neutron energy increases,the shielding effect is better.In the range of 4 Me V to 10 Me V,the shielding performance gradually weakens.When the neutron energy exceeds 7 Me V,the transmittance does not change significantly,showing a stable trend.When the neutron energy is about 4 Me V,the shielding effect of the material is the best,which can shield more than 40% of neutrons.When changing the type of filler in silicone rubber,it has little effect on the shielding effect of neutrons. |
