In this paper,the Titanium Dioxide/Polypyrrole?TiO2/PPy?composite conductiving microspheres are used to modify the polyacrylonitrile?PAN?fiber and polyester?PET?fiber to improve their antistatic property.A facile solvothermal approach is employed to synthesize TiO2 microspheres.TiO2/PPy composite conducting microspheres are synthesized via chemical oxidative polymerization of pyrrole monomers on the surface of TiO2 microspheres.?1?The blending PAN antistatic fiber are produced by wet spinning method,the TiO2/PPy composite conducting microspheres are used as the antistatic additive in the PAN spinning solution??2?The PAN-PPy composite fibers are also produced by wet spinning method.Firstly,the PPy are synthesized in the PAN solution with the help of FeCl3,then the PAN-PPy composite spinning solution are used to spin??3?The PET-PPy composite fibers are produced by chemical oxidative polymerization of pyrrole monomers on the surface of PET fibers.Firstly,the PET fibers after alkali treatment are immersed in aqueous solution containing FeCl3,then the fibers are putted in the aqueous solution containing Py to make the PPy are polymerized on the surface of PET fibers??4?The TiO2-PPy modified PET fibers can be obtained by putting the TiO2 in the aqueous solution containing Py under the same reaction condition.The composite conducting microspheres were investigated by FTIR,the result shows that the composite conducting microspheres have both the PPy and TiO2 characteristics peak,which suggests that PPy was successfully polymerized in the composite structure.The morpholoyies of TiO2/PPy composite conducting microspheres were investigated by scanning electron microscope,the result shows that the TiO2 microspheres with diameter of 2?m were obtained when 12.5 mL acetone,45 mL isopropyl alcohol and 1 mL TiCl4 reactioned at 200?C for 12 h by solvothermal treatment.Then the TiO2 microspheres are used as matrix materials to prepare TiO2/PPy composite conducting microspheres,the resistivity of TiO2/PPy is 0.161??cm while n?Py?:n?TiO2?is 2:1.The strength and electric conductivity of the composite fibers were tested,and the results show that the strength and resistivity of the composite fibers decrease while the amount of TiO2/PPy and Py increasing.For the PET-PPy composite fibers,the intensity of fracture increase due to the increasing amount of PPy on the surface of fibers.For the composite PET fibers modified by TiO2-PPy,the resistivity decreases with the increasing of m?PET?:m?TiO2??The composite fibers have the lowest resistivity of 2.37??cm while m?PET?:m?TiO2?is 5.
