Polycarbonate(PC)has a high impact strength,creep resistance,good dimensional stability,heat resistance,transparency,good dielectric properties,etc.is an excellent overall performance of engineering plastics,electrical and electronic,automotive,medical equipment,machinery,construction and other widely used.But there are also PC processing illiquid,prone to stress cracking,notch sensitivity,poor wear resistance shortcomings,its application is limited in many areas.Acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer(ABS)is a general-purpose engineering thermoplastics,has good chemical resistance,good processability and Cost-effective,but the drawback is resistance Burning poor performance and poor weather,relatively low impact strength and tensile strength.With PC and ABS as the main raw material of PC/ABS alloy is an important engineering plastics alloy that compared with the PC,improved melt flow properties,moldability,can be coated,compared with ABS,the main improve the heat resistance,impact resistance,and rigidity of thin-walled products.PC/ABS alloy molding PC only overcome the shortcomings easy to stress cracking and poor workability,but also improves the overall properties such as impact strength higher than the pure PC 2?3 times,5 times higher than that of pure ABS,others such as stretching,bending performance are maintain the performance of pure PC.However,limited PC compatibility with ABS,affecting the mechanical properties of PC/ABS blends,and improve PC/ABS composite system compatibility between micelles help to improve the overall mechanical properties of the composites.The toughening A core-shell structure with PC,ABS blends were prepared PC/ABS alloy,on the mechanical properties of the alloy materials research showed that adding 5 parts of A significantly increased the impact resistance of PC/ABS alloy,impact strength from the initial 10.78KJ/m2 enhanced to 47.72KJ/m2,an increase of 370%;a tensile strength of 55.5MPa,tensile strength retention ratio of 90%or more.After blending A in the PC/ABS alloy is formed a particle diameter of 0.2-0.4?m elastic core and an elastic core in a resin matrix uniformly dispersed,uniform in size observed under electron microscope findings.This is because as a toughening agent A rubber particles in the external force itself absorbs some of the impact energy;addition can lead to the surrounding matrix and produce a large number of silver streaks shear zone,to absorb a large amount of impact energy,so that the blend improve the toughness of the system,while the A surface reactive epoxy groups can react with PC molecules to further strengthen the intermolecular forces,thereby increasing the impact resistance of PC/ABS alloy.Compatibility agent CX-03 and PC,ABS by melt blending Huck prepared PC/ABS alloy different formulations,the mechanical properties of the test showed that 2 parts CX-03 increases the impact resistance of PC/ABS alloy,alloy notched impact strength increased to 16.1KJ/m,an increase of 60.4%,the tensile strength is 62.5MPa,an increase of 6.9%.Improve the mechanical properties indicate that CX-03 improves the compatibility of PC/ABS blends.A suitable amount of compatibilizing agent is not only the toughness of the composite material is improved,but can also maintain the maximum degree of tensile properties of the alloy material.Based on the above findings,the use of toughening agent compound modified with compatible PC/ABS alloy,while the overall ratio of PC:ABS:CX-03:A = 70:30:2:4 ?notched impact strength of 66.4 KJ/m2,an increase of 500%,the tensile strength of 56.5 MPa,tensile strength retention rate was 94.5%.Experimental results show that the compatibilizing agent and the toughener has good synergy,compound modified impact strength was significantly better than a single modifier,because the compatibilizing agent can be added to reduce the interfacial tension,so that ABS with rubber particles by toughening agents and more uniform dispersion of alloy systems,thereby significantly improving the macroscopic mechanical properties of materials.Based on the above research on toughening,then salt and silicate flame retardants F535,DC8008 alloy material is flame retardant compound modified to obtain a more in PC/ABS flame retardant system good synergistic flame retardant effect,the use of flame retardants have been reduced,effectively reducing the cost of modified alloys.Polysiloxane and sulfonate flame retardant having a good synergistic effect in PC/ABS alloy system.The system of 5 ‰ sulphonate and 4%silicone flame retardant oxygen index is 32.6,and can maintaining good mechanical material properties,notched impact strength 48.3KJ/m,the tensile strength of 53.4AMPa,to meet the needs of ordinary industrial products.Sulfonate flame retardants can promote the decomposition of PC in advance,extended heat release cycle,silicone flame retardant is easy with high flowability under high temperature conditions in the combustion surface enriched in PC.Simultaneously,they reaction with phenolic hydroxyl group of degradation products to form a crosslinked structure.Both beneficial synergistic effect on the material surface to form a dense layer of high barrier crosslinked carbon.
