Oblique axis CNC machine tool is a high-precision,high-efficiency automated machine tools.Compared with ordinary tools,the two axis are angled,with good reliability,good rigidity,high precision,long life,fast speed.So the coarse?fine?finishing of difficult to machine materials can be completed reliably and stably.Oblique axis grinding machinecan either be cylindrical grinding machine,also be efficient end face grinding machine,especially in face grinding with Characteristics of grinding strength,good rigidity,high grinding efficiency,high grinding precision.It have a special advantage in the machine layout,cutting rigidity,high cutting force,cutting a large margin,high-precision cutting,chip capacity and is suitable for automotive,motorcycle,compressors and other industries,with a wide range of processing performance.But most of the brains of oblique axis CNC machine,CNC system,are imported or applying domestic direct-axis CNC system on oblique-axis programming.To address the diffculties of oblique-axis programming on the domestic direct-axis CNC system,and reduce the high technical requirements for the workers,an oblique axis CNC system based on standard domestic CNC system was developed,and HNC-21 and HNC-8 are used as secondary development platform.This system uses virtual coordinate programming and operating environment,mapping two systems by the relationship with oblique coordinate system and right angle axis coordinate system,to achieve the function of domestic CNC system in automatic control,automatic compensation of grinding,and automatic compensation of tools,simplifying operational procedures,improving production efficiency,accuracy and product quality.This paper analyses the NC development status and the domestic demand for special NC system.In order to meet the processing requirements of a stepped cylindrical artifacts,HNC-21,HNC-8 for secondary development platform are designed and to be special oblique axis CNC system.Thinking of special characteristics of oblique-axis CNC system and HNC-21/HNC-8,this paper mainly research some technical areas,as follow:1.Design the overall scheme of the oblique axis CNC system.Study the small segment interpolation in oblique-axis coordinates.Mutual mapping model is established between the oblique-axis coordinate with the direct-axis coordinate,and establish mutual mapping.Analysis the demand of the oblique axis CNC system,in order to meet the needs,understand and study the HNC-21?HNC-8 secondary development platform.2.According to the characteristics of the overall platform in this subject,based the mutual mapping model,linear interpolation,circular interpolation algorithms of oblique axis coordinates are finished.Based on the research of the feature and design requirement of both HNC-21 and HNC-8 function module.We designed the control function that oblique is following.Also we analyzed the function of point move under the PLC hand mode in NC system.By comparing and modifying the PLC,we can add the ffunction of oblique following,so that the virtual operating-environment is designed.3.Based on the research of the oblique cutting and grinding dynamics model,we set up two models,one is the offset,the other is the cutter compensation.Based on those models,we can realized the module of automatic offset and grinding wheel compensation;Write the programming instructions of oblique axis-specific CNC system,mainly including in the virtual programming-environment and virtual operating-environment.Describe how to edit G code?set tool and so on.
