Along with the development of digital technology,3D virtual technology is universally used in the field of architectural design,industrial product design,and animation film.And it has gradually influenced and even changed the technology and mode of design manufacturing.Currently the apparel industry is in the stage of change to digital development on the planning,production and sales of the whole process.3D virtual fitting system that combines the computer technology and fashion will become an important part of the future apparel industry.Recently,3D virtual technology in clothing design and visual merchandising has made a breakthrough on the research and a exploratory promotion on the application.Research of this area is ongoing in domestic and foreign,advanced research has been initially completed the 3D virtual fitting system with a near perfect performance.However,it is still too early to promote general usage in apparel industry so that it is necessary to continue research of the software.Accordingly,it emphasizes the necessity and significance of these operational verification and evaluation study of 3D virtual fitting system.This study reviewed the present state of 3D virtual fitting system research and analyzed the 3D virtual fitting system that has already released.The Korean 3D virtual fitting system of DC-Suite and CL03D was selected for technical comparative study and we analyzed four areas:Body System,Garment Pattern System,Textile Fabric Properties and Draping Simulation System.Through the presenting of the problem and improvement direction,this study is aiming to contribute recommendations of constant research and industrial applications of its technology.The subject also performed the research conducted by 20 students specializing in the fashion design and engineering in Donghua university to evaluate the usability of the software,then we found that there are defects to promote general usage of the software.These experimental analysis and evaluation research proposed to promote the application of 3D virtual fitting technology and further study of the system will upgrade better reference value.
