Oiling Preteatment Process For Waste Textiles Before Opening

The waste cotton fabrics and waste polyester-cotton blended fabric from textile mills or clothing factories and waste uniforms can be recycled through mechanical process.However,the break of fibers and flying dust often occur during mechanical process for recycling waste textiles.The water and oiling agent can increase the length of recycled fiber.Unfortunately,special oiling agent for the mechanical process and the oil-giving process of recycled waste textiles are seldom reported in literature worldwide.This paper consists of three parts.In the first part,oiling agents were prepared with the mixed emulsion that prepared with different kinds of organic silicone oil,softening agent,antistatic agent,emulsifier and deionized water.The performances of oiling agents were evaluated by frictional coefficient of fiber,yarn-pulling performance of fabric and antistatic property.The waste uniforms,1#cotton fabric and polyester/cotton blended fabric were individually mixed with the emulsion for methyl silicone oil/D reagents/alcohol ether PK which proportion of were 7/1/3,7/3/0 and 7/3/3 respectively.The experimental results show that the required forces of pulling yarns out from fabrics has reduced by 35%approximately after mixing with the prepared emulsion.After oil pretreatment,three kinds of textiles obtain a good antistatic property which of specific resistance is less than 108 ?·cm.In the second part,in order to optimize oil-giving process for the recycling of textiles,the influences of different parameters,such as oil percentage of staple,ratio of oil/water,moisture regain and temperature,were fully investigated.The results showed that when the oil percentage of staple,the ratio of oil/water and moisture regain were 2.0wt%,1:4 to 1:8 and 7?13%respectively,the oil emulsion can significantly reduce static and dynamic friction coefficient of fiber.In the third part,the waste textile were fabricated into recycling fiber,and the influences of cutting frequency,the size of the cloth,opening times,feed roller speed,roller speed,oil-giving process on the degree of openness of waste textiles and the length of yarn were fully investigated,The results showed that when the cutting frequency,the size of the cloth,opening times,feed roller speed,roller speed were about two or three times,5×5?15x15cm2,17r/min,528r/min and 4 times respectively,the degree of openness of waste textiles and the length of yarn can achieve their best results.The opening rate of untreated waste uniforms,polyester-cotton blended fabric and 1#cotton fabric were 97.84%,98.57%and 98.35%respectively.The yarn lengths of untreated waste uniforms,polyester-cotton blended fabric and 1#cotton fabric were 36mm 43mm and 34mm respectively.After the pre-process,the opening rate of the waste textiles were 98.84%,98.76%and 98.47%respectively,and yarn lengths were 43 mm,51 mm and 42 mm respectively.
