Tobacco like other plants absorb heavy metals from soil,water,and fertilizer during growth.When processed into cigarettes,one part of the heavy metals in tobacco is transferred to the cigarette smoke in different forms,some helpful,some harmful,the effect to the human body depends not only on the total amount,but also on its existing form,therefore,carrying out research on speciation analysis and interception of heavy metal in the cigarette smoke,can lead public and tobacco consumers establish a correct understanding on heavy metals in cigarette,and has important scientific significance and application value on the reduce the harm of cigarettes.According to the cigarette standard suction method,we collected cigarette smoke and used some simple and fast method such as filter and extraction through which divided heavy metal physical form into water soluble,lipo soluble,difficultly soluble.And used ICP-MS measure the different physical form and content of five kinds of heavy metals cadmium(Cd),lead(Pb),chromium(Cr),nickel(Ni)and arsenic(As).By Comparing the distribution regularities of heavy metal speciation in different brands of cigarette.We find Cd,Pb is difficultly soluble in the cigarette smoke,while Cr,As is water soluble in the cigarette smoke,and Ni isn't exist in cigarette smoke.On the basis of the physical form of heavy metals in the cigarette smoke,We used different methods to further analysis the chemical speciation of water soluble and difficultly soluble heavy metals in cigarette smoke.We enriched the water soluble heavy metal by high-speed countercurrent chromatography(HSCCC),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)qualitative analysis showed that,the chemical valence state of water soluble lead and chromium in cigarette smoke mainly exist in Pb2+ and Cr3+.Using high performance liquid chromatography combined with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(HPLC-ICP-MS),to determined that the chemical valence state of water soluble arsenic in cigarette smoke mainly exist in As5+.The heavy metal samples which difficultly soluble is purified by using temperature-programmed thermal gravimetric analyzer in the helium and air protection,And then qualitative analyzed the possible speciation of difficultly soluble heavy metal compounds by XPS,we found the combined form of difficultly soluble heavy metal cadmium an speciation d lead may exist in CdS and Pb304.In order to reduce the content of heavy metals in cigarette smoke,we studied heavy metals adsorbents according to the speciation distribution and content of the different heavy metals.Synthesized graphene oxide-ionic liquids-schiff base sorbent material,and analysised its related structures.The cigarette smoke adsorption effect of the adsorbent material shows that the adsorption material for heavy metals As,Cd and Pb maximum reduction rate can reach 21.9%,40.7%and 23.2%.We seted silica gel as the carrier,the soy protein which containing amino and carboxyl functional groups were chemically loaded on the silica surface,after drying process get adsorbent,and we used nitrogen adsorption-desorption method for sample characterized.Then we investigated the adsorption effect of the adsorbent in the solution and cigarette mainstream.The results showed that in aqueous solution,the adsorbent has a good adsorption effect on the heavy metal Cd2+,and the adsorption rate is fast.Cd2+ adsorption capacity of adsorbent was 1.36mg/g.in cigarette mainstream smoke,different loadings of adsorbent remove Cd around 20%,with the increase in pumping capacity,the total adsorption capacity of the adsorbent increasing and cadmium adsorption unchanged.By examining the different amount of adsorbent,theadsorption capacity of adsorbent for cadmium obtained for 16ug/g.According to the adsorption rate of the gaseous heavy metal time-varying curve we were found that adsorption kinetics conform to the two-constant rate equation.In addition,the sorbent is essentially no effect on the regular data in the cigarette.
