Waterborne epoxy resin as an environmentally friendly system,it not only has the ordinary epoxy excellent electrical insulation,adhesion,abrasion resistance,high temperature resistance,corrosion resistance,etc,but also has the advantages of low price,no volatile organic compounds and good operability,therefore,more and more attention and attention of researchers,rapid development and application in many fields.After the water-based epoxy resin is cured,the resulting cured product has a crosslinked network structure,the high cross-linking density makes the cured material have the internal stress is too large,brittle and other shortcomings,limiting its application in the high-tech fields.In this paper,carboxyl-terminated nitrile rubber?CTBN?as raw material,with nano-SiO2 toughening water-based epoxy resin modified.Firstly,CTBN/EP prepolymer was prepared by chemical copolymerization,and then emulsified with a waterborne epoxy resin to prepare a CTBN modified aqueous epoxy resin emulsion,and using selfmade water-based epoxy curing agent curing,the final CTBN modified water-based epoxy resin cured,finally,the infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy,universal electronic tensile testing machine,thermal gravimetric analyzer for its performance testing and analysis,finally,the best content of CTBN is 20 wt%,at this time,not only CTBN modified aqueous epoxy resin emulsion has good storage stability and mechanical stability,and the cured product has a shear strength is 22.8 MPa,a flexural strength is 12.9 MPa,a flexural modulus is 0.40 GPa,an impact strength was 6.6 kJ/m2,the peel strength was 3.25 N/mm and the thermal decomposition temperature was 309?,and showed the best overall performance.On the basis,nano-SiO2 particles and silica sol were introduced into the CTBN modified water-based resin emulsion,respectively.And relevant test results show:On the basis of CTBN content of 20 wt%,adding 3 wt%of nano-SiO2 particles added,the resulting aqueous epoxy resin emulsion has good storage stability and mechanical stability,and the cured product obtained after curing had a shear strength is 30.0 MPa,a flexural strength is 21.5 MPa,a flexural modulus is 0.74 GPa,an impact strength is 10.9 kJ/m2,a peel strength is4.09 N/mm and a thermal decomposition temperature is 315?Adding 5 wt%of silica sol,the resulting aqueous epoxy resin emulsion has good storage stability and mechanical stability,the cured product obtained after curing shear strength of 36.8 MPa,flexural strength is 27.1 MPa,flexural modulus of0.95 GPa,impact strength is 15.9 kJ/m2,peel strength is 4.46 N/mm,thermal decomposition temperature is 317?.
