Sapphire crystal is a kind of functional material which has excellent optical property,mechanical property and chemical stability,since sapphire crystal has many advantages such as high strength,high hardness,high temperature resistance,corrosion resistance,it has been widely used in the fields of military,aerospace,laser technology,high-grade daily necessities.Sapphire orientation instrument is an important equipment using in sapphire crystal cutting and processing,it is a kind of precise opto-mechatronic instrument based on X-ray and take the Bragg equation as the theory basis.At present the sapphire orientation instrument in domestic has some shortcomings like low degree of automation,slow detection speed,poor reliability,thus developing a new type of sapphire orientation instrument has important practical significance.The control system of sapphire orientation instrument designed in this thesis will use.DSP as controller,using three Omron servo motors to drive the X-ray detection device and platform,using the TEKMS laser rangefinder to measure the position of X-ray detection device in order to achieve the high accuracy position control of lift motor,the touch screen display the motors' running state and value changes of X-ray intensity,the system parameters can be set via the touch screen.This thesis's main work includes:(1)The designing of the overall structure of the system.(2)The designing of the hardware structure of the system,including the development of the smallest DSP core module,the main circuit unit,DSP peripheral circuit,detection circuit,switch input and output circuit.(3)The designing of the software program of the system.(4)In this thesis,the position control of the lift motor of the sapphire orientation instrument is the mainly research object.For the lift motor position control,we will use a kind of variable structure controller which combined Bang-Bang control strategy with proportional derivative negative feedback PID control strategy.According to the MATLAB simulation analysis,the control method used in this thesis can achieve a good effect without overshoot over a certain error range and have a fast response at the same time.
