The water chamber head is an important part of nuclear power equipment.The process of the water chamber head have the rough surface defects,and its cutting conditions is larger than with ordinary cutting is relatively large,the water chamber head material is SA508?steel with high-strength,low-toughness,the cutting force is larger,cutting temperature higher and tool failure is relatively serious,which affecting the surface quality and tool life in workpiece processing,reduce the processing efficiency.Aiming at the above problems,research on cutting force and thermal characteristics and failure analysis of tool in machining material of water chamber head are analyzed.Firstly,the mechanical characteristics of the cutter-chip contact area of the cutting tool for the water chamber head material are analyzed.Based on coordinate transformation of milling force,milling test of machining water chamber head material is tested.The empirical formula and the tool chip contact area of the cutting force formula are established,and the cutter force density function is gained,which provide boundary the conditions for the subsequent simulation.And then,the research on the temperature field of the cutting tool for the material of the water chamber head is carried out.The cutter shearing surface average temperature is analyzed and the tool chip contact area of the heat production ratio calculation,the temperature analytical model of tool rake face is established,heat flux density function is e calculated based on the insert rake face of the tool chip contact area.Through it the boundary conditions for the finite element simulation is obtained;then using semi-artificial thermocouple wire clamp method for milling temperature measurement test,empirical model of cutting temperature is analyzed,and the significance of milling temperature model analysis is tested by software of SPSS and the accuracy of the model is verified.Then,the milling process and the simulation analysis of the material for the tool in machining water chamber head are carried out.To make simulation of milling process by cutting simulation software,and the distribution of cutting force,cutting temperature and the chip formation process are all acquired and analyzed,and compared with the test results;and then we study the cutter milling in the temperature field and stress field coupling deformation.The stress and strain distribution characteristics are obtained and analyzed,provide an effective way to study the force and thermal characteristics of milling force.Finally,the failure analysis of the cutting tool of in machining water chamber head is carried out.The milling wear test is carried out by cemented carbide tool with water chamber head material.Based on the study of the influence of cutting parameters on the tool failure,the influence of different load on milling failure is explored.And the hard alloy cutting tools with different structures are used to carry out the cutting test,and the tools of machining the material of water chamber head are optimized based on the tool life analysis.
