Cave-shaped metal complexes based on boronic acids is facing a vigorous development because of its importance in electrochemical,physicochemical,catalytic chemistry and so on.Polymer can be obtain by the kind of complexes.The polymer has electrochemical properties due to the properties of the monomers.The kind of polymer is obtain by coordinate bonds.Template condensation on four kinds of metal ions of multidentate ligands with three kinds of boronic acids with unsaturated groups,obtained twelve cave-shaped metal complexes in this paper.The complexes have the potential to obtain polymer by covalent bond.The complex units with 2-hydroxy-5-methyl-1,3-benzenedicarboxaldehyde-1,3-dioxime?H3bd?have been successfully synthesized with MnCl2·4H2O,CoCl2·6H2O,Zn?NO3?·6H2O,namely,element 1,2,3.Then,the final complexes were obtained by the dehydration reaction between boronic acids[4-vinylphenylboronic acid?4-vbaB?OH?2?,3-?acrylamidophenyl?boronicacid?3-abaB?OH?2?and3-?methacrylamidophenyl?boronic acid?3-mbaB?OH?2?]and the element 1,namely,[Mn22+?bd?3?4-vbaB?2]·H2O·Et3NH?1a?,[Mn22+?bd?3?3-abaB?2]·H2O·Et3NH?1b?,[Mn22+?bd?3?3-mbaB?2]·2CH3OH·Et3NH?1c?.The final complexes were obtained by the dehydration reaction between boronic acids[4-vinylphenylboronic acid?4-vbaB?OH?2?,3-?acrylamidophenyl?boronicacid?3-abaB?OH?2?and3-?methacrylamidophenyl?boronic acid?3-mbaB?OH?2?]and the element 2,namely,Co22+?bd?3?4-vbaB?2]·H2O·Et3NH?2a?,[Co22+?bd?3?3-abaB?2]·H2O·Et3NH?2b?,[Co22+?bd?3?3-mbaB?2]·2CH3OH·Et3NH?2c?.The final complexes were obtained by the dehydration reaction between boronic acids[4-vinylphenylboronic acid?4-vbaB?OH?2?,3-?acrylamidophenyl?boronicacid?3-abaB?OH?2?and3-?methacrylamidophenyl?boronic acid?3-mbaB?OH?2?]and the element 3,namely,[Zn22+?bd?3?4-vbaB?2]·H2O·Et3NH?3a?,[Zn22+?bd?3?3-abaB?2]·H2O·Et3NH?3b?,[Zn22+?bd?3?3-mbaB?2]·2CH3OH·Et3NH?3c?.Onecomplexunitwith1,2-cyclohexanedione?H2cd?has been successfully synthesized with Fe?BF4?2·6H2O.Then,the final complexes were obtained by the dehydration reaction between boronic acids[Fe2+?cd?3?4-vbaB?2]?4a?,[Fe2+?cd?3?3-abaB?2]?4b?,[Fe2+?cd?3?3-mbaB?2]?4c?.The molecular structures of complexes were structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,elemental analysis,IR spectra,and UV-vis spectroscopy.The supramolecular structure was also explored.It was proved that the supramolecular structure can be effected by different terminal groups.The electrochemical property was analyzed by cyclic voltammetry.
