Coal mine roadway working face is an important area for coal mine production operations,and it is also a focus area for safety monitoring.With the continuous development of science and technology,the mechanized mining technology in the mining face has been continuously improved,and new excavation equipment has been applied continuously.This has brought new safety monitoring problems to the construction work of the excavating face,including: tunneling super-cycle operations,empty top operations,excess coal on the belt,personnel violate regulations into the crusher area during the operation.At this stage,the monitoring and early warning methods in the construction process of the excavation work relied heavily on manual monitoring,the monitoring methods were scattered,the real-time monitoring performance was poor and the accuracy was low,the monitoring and early warning could not be visualized.These problems not only affect the safety of the construction personnel in the working face of the tunnel,but also are not conducive to the safety management of the coal mine.In order to solve the problems of safety monitoring and early warning in the construction process of the excavation work,and improve the intelligent and automatic level of its monitoring and early warning,intelligent monitoring and safety early warning technologies need to be studied.Firstly,the needs of the four monitoring and early warning problems during the excavation work were analyzed.According to the monitoring needs of each problem,relevant theories and methods were studied,and the basic methods for solving the various monitoring problems were determined.1)Monitoring distance of continuous miner forward by monocular distance measuring method to realize monitoring of supercycle operation;2)Detecting presence of moving personnel in images of empty top area and crusher area by inter-frame difference method and realizing two areas the monitoring of irregular operations within the system;3)Background subtraction method is used to monitor whether the image of the coal belt contacting the coal-prone area has coal within a certain period of time,and realizes the monitoring of the belt coal-pile;4)Through the linkage of live sound and light alarm equipment and ground control center display terminals,to achieve the alarm.According to the requirements of actual monitoring and early warning,an intelligent monitoring and safety early warning system was developed,and the hardware design and software development of the system were completed.According to the different functions of the system,the hardware of the functional group such as on-site image acquisition,data transmission,data processing,on-site alarm,data storage and display is selected and designed,and the integration of monitoring and early warning subsystems is designed.According to the requirements of the system software functions,the module software of image acquisition,image preprocessing,calculation and analysis,display control,and data storage were developed.Finally,combined with the specific conditions of Shenhua Shendong Coal Group Shangwan Coal Mine,the engineering application design was conducted,and the monitoring and early warning records during system commissioning were analyzed,the feasibility and practicality of the system were verified.The application practice shows that the research and design of intelligent monitoring and safety early warning system can meet the actual needs of safety monitoring and early warning in the construction process of the excavation work,and can effectively monitor the safety hazards during the excavation work and issue alarm information in case of irregular operations.It can provide technical support for the safe construction of underground mine digging operations,and effectively improve the automation level of safety monitoring and early warning of coal mine heading operations.
