At present, the market of wood traders, manufacturers and the experts of botany, wood science are have a huge controversy over whether Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis are the same tree species. In order to find the differences and links between Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis in the wood anatomical structure and the chemical constituents of wood extracts,we used three species of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and three kinds of Dalbergia tonkinensis as the main test materials this paper. The wood anatomical technique was used to analyze the wood anatomical structure of the macroscopic and microscopic, and to find out the difference and relation between them.At the same time, the heartwood, transitional wood and sapwood were selected to study the chemical constituents of wood extracts.Explore the effect of different extraction extraction processes on the extraction rate of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis wood extracts. The components of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis wood extracts were analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer,GC-MS and LC-MS.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Comparison of wood structure:The macroscopic and microscopic of tectonic characteristics and wood-ray structure parameters of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis were not significant in different origins. There are no regularity differences in the tube holes, axial thin-walled tissues, type, wood color, pattern and odor of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis in different origins. There are also no regular differences in the types, types and heights of wood rays of heartwood, transitional region and sapwood. This may be related to the origin, and is not necessarily the difference between tree species.(2)The best wood extraction process technology for Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis was the use of Soxhlet extractor, the addition of benzene alcohol 2:1 extracted 8h.At this time, the higher extraction rate can be obtained, and the extraction rate of heartwood was 16.23%.(3)The similarity of one-and second-order IR spectra of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis heartwood, transition zone and sapwood in different habitats was higher and the difference was not significant. To some extent, the types of extracts contained in Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis are basically the same. Therefore,it is difficult to distinguish two species in one-dimensional and second-order IR spectra.(4)According to the analysis of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis heartwood, transition zone and sapwood extraction from different origins, there are certain differences in the types and relative contents of the compounds, but the differences are not regular. The main compounds identified are Nerolidol,alpha-Bisabolol,Nerolidol,alpha-Bisabolol,trans-N erolidol,6,7-epoxide-humulene,T ributyl phosphate,Medicarpin,3,4-Dimethoxystyrene,Biochanin B,(S)-naringenin,etc.(5)According to the analysis of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis wood extracts from different habitats, the total ion flow pattern is similar to that of the high liquid chromatography mass spectrometry,so the compound species and content are basically the same. The main component analysis method was used to compare and analyze the total ion flow chart, and the heartwood, transition zone and sapwood of Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis from different habitats could not form a cluster. The suspected origin is not necessarily the difference between tree species. There are some differences between Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis in wood structure and extract chemical composition, but the difference is not obvious, the author thinks Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen and Dalbergia tonkinensis as the same tree species.
