Because of the characteristics of the welding process,it will not only produce noise and strong light in the welding process,but also produce welding dust.With the continuous welding,the concentration of welding fume rises rapidly.When the concentration of smoke and dust exceeds a certain allowable concentration,the air quality of welding operation will be reduced,and the welding personnel's body will be negatively affected.The research group designed and manufactured a welding fume cleaning machine for welding smoke and dust.However,in the later stage of dust cleaning machine debugging,it was found that there was an unreasonable place in the structure design of the front end fairing of the dust cleaning machine.Therefore,in order to optimize the structure of the front end of the dust cleaning machine,it is necessary to study the diffusion process of the welding dust.In this paper,by means of Fluent software,the welding fume as the research object,the gas-solid two-phase flow theory based on the analysis of the welding properties and characteristic parameters of smoke,while the welding fume in the diffusion process of the force and motion state is analyzed;introduces the numerical simulation of related theory,using Fluent processing software ICEM.The establishment of the geometric model of welding fume diffusion and movement of welding fume diffusion process was set up numerical simulation conditions and material parameters;experiments are designed to verify the accuracy of the numerical simulation method;then introduces the fairing structural design basis,analysis of the current expansion angle setting in fairing problems using the method numerical simulation;finally simulate the expansion angle respectively at different angles when fairing and suction pipe of the internal flow field distribution It is found that the distribution of the flow field is the most uniform at 36 degrees,and the final selection of the fairing angle is 36 degrees.
