With the constant acceleration of railway transportation speed,freight volume increasing,exacerbating the rail side of crushing,grinding,wave splitting and grinding disease happening.If we simply rely on replacement rails which will consume too much time and cause huge economic losses;In order to reduce the cost of railway operation maintenance,we import the rail repair devices from abroad to remove the all kinds of defects in the rail surface.Milling and grinding vehicles has excellent performance at many aspects,such as cutting ability,work precision and so on,which especially do better in deal with serious diseases,and it gradually become the main rail-line repair equipment.The grinding part of milling and grinding vehicles as the key process of rail repair quality control,it uses the peripheral grinding which is different from the face grinding of rail grinding wagon.Due to the less researches of grinding mechanism,to some extent,which limit the milling machine further application and development.This paper aimed at the rail dry grinding mechanism research,and rely on the working parameters of milling and grinding vehicles to formulate reasonable experimental plan,to research the grinding performance of the conventional abrasive grinding wheel and super hard high speed CBN grinding wheel,to exploratory study the improvement performance of oblique contact grinding,and analyze the characteristics of contour grinding,and attempt to propose solutions in response to the possible problems.The main research content is as follows:1)The grinding ability of conventional abrasive grinding wheel and CBN grinding wheel are studied under the grinding experiments,such as maximum grinding depth with no burns,volume grinding ratio,clogging of grinding wheel before and after the grinding,etc;Based on the ability of grinding wheel and combined with the milling and grinding vehicles operation conditions,to formulate grinding experimental parameters,and carry out grinding technological experiment,to find the grinding parameters change influence of grinding force,grinding temperature,ratio of grinding,maximum undeformed chip thickness,and work-piece surface roughness.2)To carry out the angle change influence of the material removal capacity,through the theory analyzed the influence of grinding elements when the horizontal plane have angle;Then carry out the grinding experiment to research the slope anglechange influence of the normal force and tangential force,grinding temperature,the work-piece surface roughness;Finally,we discuss whether grinding wheel need slope an angle or not in horizontal.3)A systematic research are carried out in the geometric characteristics and the grinding elements at the different position of grinding wheel contour shape of form grinding.To capture ideal grinding depth of forming grinding online,a software is developed successfully,which is proved by experimental results to be stable and automatic in form grinding process.To solve low efficiency and error-prone problems in forming grinding wheel NC shaping process,a software which can automatically generate NC shaping program is well developed.
