Objective:(1)Compare and analyze several methods of measurement of indoor radon concentration,and discuss the accuracy,reliability and feasibility of activated charcoal canister method widely applied to indoor radon concentration measurement.(2)Select some families in Suzhou as a sampling point,and use the activated charcoal canister method to measure the indoor radon concentration in some families in Suzhou.Statistics and evaluation of indoor radon concentration in some residential areas of Suzhou,and analyze the influencing factors of indoor radon concentration.(3)Estimating the dose of radon to the human body,and giving corresponding suggestions to control the indoor radon concentration level.Methods:(1)Experimental comparison of radon concentration between RAD7 radon analyzer and activated carbon box method.(2)Using activated carbon box method to conduct on-site measurement of some living rooms in Suzhou and collect relevant information of sampling points.(3)Statistical analysis,using the statistical software SPSS 20.0 to analyze the data collected,analysis of the indoor radon concentration influence factors.(4)Dose estimation recommended by the International Commission on Radiation Protection(ICRP)The dose conversion formula for radon exposure in the laboratory was used to estimate the effective dose of radon concentration in the lungs and to assess the degree of harm of radon in the laboratory.Results:Compared with the RAD7 radon analyzer,the activated carbon box method is used for indoor radon concentration measurement.The measurement results are accurate,stable,more economical and convenient.The average radon concentration in 98 houses in Suzhou City was 70.6±52.2 Bq/m~3.Different building structure,ventilated room and airtight room,newly decorated room and permanent room,room size will affect indoor radon concentration level;The annual effective dose of the resident due to indoor radon is 1.78 mSv.Conclusion:The indoor radon concentration of residents in Suzhou city is lower than the standard of the basic standard of ionizing radiation protection and radiation safety for China,but the overall level is obviously higher than the previous survey results.The radon concentration in Suzhou city is influenced by ventilation,building structure,room area,different administrative area,ground decoration and construction age.The annual effective dose caused by indoor radon was 1.78 m Sv.
