China's straw resources are abundant,but the utilization rate is low,and straw burning is a serious problem.This not only results in a huge waste of biomass resources,but also puts tremendous pressure on the ecological environment in China.In this paper,ABS filled straw fiber composites were prepared with straw and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)as the main materials.The effects of mechanical and rheological performance by the ratio of ABS to straw fibers,molding temperature,molding time,and fiber size were studied.Activated carbon,Al2O3,and SiO2 were used to enhance the ABS filled straw fiber composites,and the properties of straw-filled ABS composites treated with KH550,KH560,KH570 and KBM603 were compared.Finally,the effect of activated carbon,Al2O3 and SiO2 on the VOC release of the ABS filled straw fiber composites was investigated by TG-MS.(1)Explore the preparation process of rice straw fiber filled ABS composites,the results show that the increase of fiber content reduces the mechanical properties of composites;the tensile strength and bending strength of composites increase first and then decrease with the increase of mold temperature.The optimal molding temperature,mass ratio,molding time and fiber specification of the ABS filled straw fiber composites were 170°C,100/30(ABS/straw),10min,and 40-60 mesh respectively.At this time,the tensile strength,the bending strength and the impact strength were 22.9 MPa,39.56 MPa,and 17.98 KJ/m2,respectively.(2)The performance of the ABS filled straw fiber composites was enhanced.The results showed that appropriate amount of activated carbon,Al2O3 and SiO2 could enhance the mechanical properties of the ABS filled straw fiber composites,and the enhancement effect was better than KH550,KH560,KH570 and KBM603.When the amount of inorganics added was 5%,the composites had the best mechanical properties,and Al2O3 had the best reinforcing effect.At this point,the tensile,bending,and impact strengths of the composites were:27.719 MPa,61.05 MPa,and 26.53 kJ/m2,respectively.(3)The thermolysis-mass spectrometer was used to investigate the pyrolysis VOC release conditions of straw fiber and ABS under air atmosphere,and the VOC release situation of modifier-ABS filled straw fiber composites and modifier-free composites were compared.The results showed that ABS and straw fiber can release CH2O,C2H4O and C3H4O in the pyrolysis process,while the release sources of benzenes and alkanes such as C6H6,C7H8,C8H8 are mainly ABS;The addition of activated carbon can significantly reduce the VOC release of the ABS filled straw fiber composites.The total amount of VOC emissions is reduced by 55.5%,while Al2O3 and SiO2 can significantly reduce the release of benzene from the composites,but Metal impurities such as Fe and Cu can catalyze the production of aldehydes,leading to an increase in total VOC emissions.When the modifier catalyzing the composite VOC gas wasn't considered,the addition of activated carbon,Al2O3,and SiO2 can effectively absorb the VOC gas released from the ABS filled straw fiber composites,It can be inferred that the content of VOC released from modifier-straw fiber-filled ABS composites during normal use(non-high temperature and high pressure)is reduced.
