Due to external floating roof tank with a long cycle use,in order to satisfy the upstream and downstream processes,may encounter in the use fixed number of year change the storage medium,the aging tank components,operating conditions change,use requirement to update,and so on and so forth.In order to meet the above requirements,the storage tank shall be updated and improved accordingly.Outside the in-depth analysis of 50000 mill stand working conditions of the floating roof tank and the related parameters in the runtime,found floating disc aging damage and does not adapt with the current specification,due to the production plant is hidden trouble,the use of performance degradation.Through careful study of floating plate structure and related specifications,from material,economy and so on various aspects to consider,the concrete implementing scheme is put forward,namely,by the floating tray materials,improve its buoyancy and strength increase its use in the form of performance,to meet the process requirements,thus the premise,with minimal changes to avoid more economic input,to ensure the maximum economic benefit.In this paper,the design and analysis of the 50000 cubic meters of oil tank,oil jars of wall thickness calculation in the first place,wind aseismic calculation,storage tank bottom structure,the strength of the floating roof and buoyancy,this article does not meet the eligibility criteria to modify part of design.CAD and Solidworks are used to model two-dimensional and three-dimensional models.External floating roof modification was designed and carried out in accordance with the relevant standards of floating roof theory,using the software of ABAQUS to static analysis to check the whole tank overall strength,dynamic analysis was carried out on the tank under earthquake shaking,designed to prevent the time of the storage tank in cracking under earthquake loading,buoyancy calculation for the design of the floating roof,and check the floating roof heavy resistance.Based on the analysis and design method of pressure vessel,the stress evaluation of the analysis results is carried out,which proves that the floating roof can meet the design requirements after the modification.
