With the continuous deterioration of the global environment, the irrational use of resources, and various problems that have arisen in the course of economic development, countries in the world have gradually increased their attention to the coordinated development of the economy, the environment, and resources, and have gradually made energy conservation, emission reduction, and environmental protection to be a inescapable responsibility. As the country with the largest emissions,China has responded to the international call for energy-saving and emission reduction in an effort to achieve a certain degree of reduction of carbon emissions and impede the development of its economy and to realize harmonious economic, social, and ecological development.India, the third-largest carbon emitter, submitted a climate pledge to the United Nations on October 2,2016,promising to take action to prevent the temperature of the earth from rising. In addition, both China and India,as developing countries, big agricultural nations, and large populations, have a stable economic development and improve the living standards of their citizens. This is a historical mission that both countries must face. The major economic achievements in recent years also show the future of China and India. They will become a strong competitor. The United States,as the second largest carbon emitter, has taken the lead in implementing the relevant policies for energy conservation and emission reduction based on its strong scientific and technological capabilities and has achieved some results in the face of the global demand for low-carbon economy development. At the same time, the United States as a developed country We have always been ahead of China,India, and other countries in the fields of economy, science and technology, and environmental protection. Therefore, introducing the United States into the study can make a good horizontal and vertical comparison to provide experience and lessons for China-India energy-saving emission reduction. It can be seen that China, the United States,India and China occupy an important position in the global energy conservation and emission reduction plan,so this article will use the three countries of China, the United States, and India as the research subjects to compare and study the differences and links between the three countries' carbon emission factors. This study is guided by the relevant theories of low-carbon economy and carbon emissions, and based on the stirpat model to study the differences and links between the influencing factors of carbon emissions in the three countries.First, review and collate domestic and foreign research results on carbon emission factors through literature review.Secondly, based on the stirpat model, the three factors affecting carbon emissions, namely, population, wealth, and technology, are compared and analyzed from the four aspects of economic size, industrial structure, population size, and carbon emissions.Thirdly, according to the economic development status and carbon emissions of the three countries, the three countries are further decomposed and quantitatively analyzed the impact of the eight major influencing factors on the carbon emissions of the three countries during the period 2000-2017.Quantitative analysis mainly through regression analysis, according to the coefficient to determine the long-term relationship between the major influencing factors and carbon emissions and explore the impact of factors in the direction of carbon emissions, and then based on the results of the study put forward how to achieve scientific and effective reduction of this goal. Finally, according to the results of quantitative analysis and empirical test mentioned above,we draw the corresponding conclusions and propose a series of policy recommendations for the development of low-carbon economy in China through the comparison of the three countries.Through the empirical analysis of this paper, the conclusions are Two aspects. The common features of the factors affecting carbon emissions in China, the United States, and India are:(1)The factors affecting a country's carbon emissions are mainly population size, economic scale, industrial structure, urbanization level, and people.Living standards, technical level and carbon intensity.(2)Of the influencing factors, the contribution of patents,R&D input, and the tertiary industry's contribution to GDP is negative for the carbon emissions, regardless of the country. The level of urbanization, per capita GDP,and carbon intensity have positive effects on the carbon emissions of the three countries.(3)It can be known from the regression test that there is an inverted U-shaped curve between GDP per capita and carbon emissions between China and India, which is consistent with the theory of environmental Kuznets curve. The differences in the factors affecting carbon emissions in China, the United States, and India are as follows:(1)For the per capita income level, the United States and China and India have great differences. The increase in American average incomewill increase the country's carbon emissions to a certain extent, while China and India will gradually use low-pollution and low-carbon resources as their income levels increase. Therefore,it can promote the reduction of carbon emissions.(2)For the factor of population size, the United States and China and India also differ greatly. The increase in the total population of China and India has a positive effect on the carbon emissions of the two countries, and the United States will,as the population increase, largely inhibit the increase of carbon emissions in the country.
