Research On The Structure Andmodel Of Table And Chair In Ming-Style Furniture

Furniture structure components of Ming-style are divided into bearing heavy parts and decorative parts which can support human body by leaning,store up and have other functions,the parts also have adornment effect for furniture.Mortise and tenon joint structure of Ming-style furniture conform to the furniture design principles of art and science,in the meantime,lack of gooey material did not affect the processing technique of traditional carpenter.This paper research on furniture parts structure by summarizing characteristics of bearing and decorative parts,aiming to haveinheritance significance to traditional craftsmen skills and may have positive significance to increase the durability of the modern furniture service life,also to provide the basis theory for traditional furniture structure research in the future.Taking the structure of the Ming-style table furniture components as the research object,the typical shape structure of the Ming-style furniture including the load-bearing and decorative structural parts were deeply studied.It was concluded that the edge boarding and slotting plate structure have been applied in the table surface and the case.Rag and clevis structures are used in many cases.Besides,the connection between the occlusal and leg-foot components is usually a clevis or rag structure.When the gusset is attached to the face,loaded joint was used.Clip flowers can stay on their own hoe,but also can be used to support the use of a load joint on the connection;the connection of the horn and the vertical and horizontal material can be achieved by joint.Using the component structure of Ming-style chairs and stools as the research object,the author analyzes the load-bearing components and decorative components of Ming-style chairs and stools.The results show that this is actually an analytical and inductive study on the component structure of chairs and stools.The results can be summarized as follows:most of the chair and stool surfaces are made by assembling a mortised-and-tenoned frame with floating panel.The frames of the seats of round stools are made by using square peg tenon joint to connect curve materials into frames.When double-mitred tenon connects legs of chairs and stools with the seat surface,the forms of chairs and stools will vary depending on different connection structures and dimensional proportion,such as big mitre,small mitre,factual mitre,empty mitre and other forms.Angle joint of the spar is connected by a wedge dowel,which is also applied to top rail,round stools,and the continuous floor stretcher of Chinese drum-shaped stools.
