The development potential of dense reservoirs is huge, but the difficulty of mining and water injection is difficult. In order to clarify the characteristics of waterfront in the dense reservoir and its influencing factors, four different pore structure cores were selected for analysis. In this paper, core CT images were obtained by Micro-CT scanning technique.Three-dimensional digital core reconstruction was performed by Avizo software.Two-dimensional axial core sections were taken and analyzed by COMSOL Multiphysics software. The influence of the number of PVs,the injection rate, the oil saturation and the core pore structure on the waterfront front characteristics were analyzed. The results show: the influence of the injection velocity on the waterfront front is mainly manifested in the critical velocity of the uniform displacement and the finger displacement. The homogeneity of the pore structure has the greatest influence on the waterfront front,The better the better the propulsion phenomenon, the easier it is to reach the leading edge of the waterflooding, and the non-connected pores in the core will cause the leading edge to be concave.
