This article mainly focuses on the problems of serious,non-renewable and difficult recycling of petrochemical resources.Therefore,we have studied the selective synthesis of isosorbide and the use of isosorbide as the bio-based raw material for the two most widely used polyester materials: Polyethylene Terephthalate(PET)and Polytrimethylene Terephthalate(PTT)were modified.First of all,in view of isosorbide as raw material,the catalytic effect of different catalysts on the synthesis of isosorbide was explored.The three types of catalysts we developed have good selectivity and have the following advantages: 1)The thermal stability of the catalyst is difficult to volatilize Dehydration efficiency is high,2)the reaction time is short;3)At the end of the reaction,the remaining high boiling point material is an oily liquid,which is easy to clean.Secondly,to ease the consumption of petrochemical resources and improve the physicochemical properties of polyesters,based on the successful synthesis of isosorbide,isosorbide was used as a bio-based glycol monomer to modify PET materials and PTT materials.This paper mainly carried out: 1)Synthetic methods of two types of polyester materials modified by isosorbide;2)Research on physicochemical properties of amount of copolyester materials,including: determination of intrinsic viscosity,determination of carboxyl end content,Chemical structure,microstructure,thermal stability,and model performance.The research structure shows that the physicochemical properties of isosorbide-modified two kinds of polyester materials have been improved to varying degrees,especially their thermodynamic properties.
