Lanthanide metals are effective building blocks for the construction of metal organic coordination polymers due to the high coordination number and strong coordination ability.The f-f transition emission of lanthanide metals with unique 4f electrons can be obtained by the"antenna" effect of the ligand in the coordination polymers.It is significant to develop luminescent and electrical metal-organic coordination polymers based on lanthanide metals nodes.In this thesis,the pyridone-containing organic carboxylic ligands(4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid and 1-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid)were designed and synthesized.The eight metal-organic coordination polymers with La~??Nd~??Sm~??Eu~?.Gd~?.Tb~? metals can be prepared by controlling reaction conditions of the ligends with lanthanide metal ions,which were subsequently characterized by single crystal X-Ray diffraction analysis,IR,TGA,elemental analysis and power X-Ray diffraction.The results showed that the coordiantion polymers based on 4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic ligand were isomorphous and 1-D structures,while others based on 1-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic ligand formed 2-D or 3D structures.The investigation of luminescence properties indicated the lanthanides metal-organic coordination polymers performed significant luminescence properties.The color-tunable structur-confirmed luminescence materials were synthesized by doping different lanthanide metals in the isomorphic coodianton polymers.Based on the favorable luminescent properties of the lanthanides metal-organic coordination polymers,the fluorescence sensing properties for metal ions were studied.The result revealed that the compounds exhibited different degrees of fluorescence quenching to different metal ions,that can be used for selective detection of metal ions.
