As the core technology of high-precision measurement,capacitive sensor technology has been applied in the detection and control system of industrial automation.The use of capacitive sensors for macro detection technology has been very mature,and it has the advantages of low production cost,large measuring range,and dynamic response,and can work long-term in many harsh environments such as high temperature,low temperature strong magnetic field,strong radiation and so on.The corrugated plate welding still has many difficulties.The deformation of the wave plate caused by the welding deformation brings difficulties to real-time weld seam tracking.The key to realizing the automation of corrugated plate welding is to achieve real-time accurate tracking of the corrugated plate fold line weld.In order to realize the welding process of corrugated plate seam tracking,the design of the sensor with simple structure,high sensitivity,sensitive dynamic response,large sensing range,and strong anti-interference ability is an important prerequisite for the tracking of the corrugated plate weld seam.This paper mainly focuses on the tracking of corrugated plate welds,and proposes a method of using capacitance sensors to realize tracking of corrugated welds.A sensor that uses multi-pole array capacitance scattering fields to track the corrugated plate welds is designed.By establishing a mathematical model of the multi-pole array capacitance sensor,the calculation method of the edge capacitance of the multi-pole array capacitance sensor is analyzed,and the factors influencing the penetrability and sensitivity of the capacitance sensor are analyzed.The geometrical parameters of the capacitive sensor were simulated by COMSOL simulation software,and the penetration and sensitivity parameters of the fringing electric field were simulated.The working principle of the corrugated weld seam tracking system and the composition of the system are introduced in detail,and the system’s hardware and software circuits are designed.The data acquisition and conversion module is mainly based on the design of the AD7746 capacitance-to-digital converter.The communication flow and related settings between the PIC 18F452 and the AD7746 are introduced.A multi-pole array capacitive sensor corrugated plate seam tracking test platform was set up.Based on the corrugated plate weld deviation test platform,the experimental verification and analysis of the sensitive field of the capacitive sensor and the comparative test analysis of the deviation of the weld of the corrugated plate were carried out.The test results show that the influence of noise interference on the signal acquisition system is within the allowable range of the weld seam tracking system,which verifies the stability of the signal acquisition system.The results of the linearity test of the fringe electric field are compared with the simulation results.The results are consistent with the simulation results.Comparing and analyzing the deviation test of different directions and sizes and the characteristics of the characteristic point signal of the corrugated plate and processing it through the Daubechies wavelet filter function in MATLAB,the deviation test result is basically consistent with the actual weld deviation variation.Finally proved the feasibility of using multi-pole array capacitance sensors for real-time tracking of corrugated plate welds.
