With the development of society,the people are facing energy and environmental problems.These prompte people to research and develop energy conversion and storage technology with high efficiency,low cost and environment friendliness.Hydrogen has been proven its potential as an ideal energy carrier towards the sustainable energy economy because of its high energy density and eco-friendly production possibilities.The preparation of hydrogen by water splitting is an efficient,economical and clean-energy technologies.The most effective catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction?HER?is Pt-based catalyst.Unfortunately,the rocketing cost and scarce resources of Pt have been compromised the large-scale deployment in energy devices.Therefore,it is importment to develop a highly catalytic and good stable non-noble metal catalyst.In the continuous search and exploration,transition metals?Fe,Co,Ni,etc.?have been attracted wide attention because of low cost,high activity and good stability.In this report,it tries to study the application of the small molecule functionalized carbon nanotube/transition metal compound composite materials in HER.The main points are as shown below:?1?In this section,it designed and developed CNTs functionalized by tri?4-fluorophenyl?phosphane?PF-CNTs?via?–?stacking interactions.Using these as the substrate,amorphous cobalt phosphate catalysts?CoPi/PF-CNTs?could then be uniformly built by electrodeposition method.The structure of the CoPi/PF-CNTs was characterized through SEM?TEM?STEM and XPS.The electrochemical test proved that the prepared nanocomposite materials exhibit excellent hydrogen evolution activity.The stability test showed that no current attenuation after 24 h tests and little change.?2?The carbon nanotubes were modified by a known structure of a small molecular compound?tris?pentafluoropheny?phosphine?with the benzene ring.The cobalt nickel bimetallic compound/functionalized carbon nanotube composite materials(CoNiPi/PF15-CNTs)was prepared by electrochemical deposition.The corresponding electrochemical catalytic properties were tested in acid medium.While the substrate of carbon nanotubes were modified by small molecules,it is found that the composites with good electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance.
