Water pollution is becoming more and more serious with the industrial development, therefore,it is important to develop green technology for water pollution. As we all know, semiconductor photocatalytic technology is widely used in the field of photocatalytic degradation due to its characteristics of green, environmental protection and sustainability. In recent years, many semiconductor materials are used in photocatalytic technology.Because of rich morphology, low cost advantages,ZnO as a wide band gap(3.37 e V)semiconductor has attracted much attention in the photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants. However,ZnO can only absorb ultraviolet light(about 4% of the whole solar spectrum)due to its wide band gap. Moreover, the photogenerated charge recombination of ZnO is fast, which greatly restricts the promotion of photocatalytic activity. In this paper,we prepared two/three composite semiconductor materials to improve their photoelectric properties and further enhanced their photocatalytic degradation activity by constructing heterojunction. In addition, the relationship between the photoinduced charge behavior and the photocatalytic activity of the surface/interface of these composite semiconductor materials are deeply studied. The main work of this paper is to modify the ZnO by constructing the Bi OI/ZnO composite and the Pt/Bi OI/ZnO composite. The main research work is about following aspects:1.BiOI/ZnO composite was synthesized by simple hydrothermal method and solvothermal method and the photodegradation activities of phenol for different samples were tested under different light sources.A reasonable explanation for the photodegradation mechanism of phenol by free radical capture experiment, surface photovoltage, transient photovoltage and PL tests.2.The Pt/Bi OI/ZnO composite was synthesized by hydrothermal method and photoreduction and solvothermal method. The transient photovoltage technique is used to study the photoinduced charge behavior between the surface and the interface of material. Our work will contribute to the development of highly efficient catalysts for environmental remediation.
