The Mechanism Of Public Participation In The Construction Of Ecological Civilization In Xiangtan City

Ecological civilization is not only of importance to building a Beautiful China,but also critical to building a Beautiful Xiangtan,Hometown of Chairman Mao.The whole nation should be involved in realizing the great goal.Since it is a Long March towards ecological civilization,public participation will face unprecedented difficulties and challenges.It is of profound significance to establish a mechanism for public participation in ecological civilization.On the one hand,it gives full play to the basic role of the public in building ecological civilization,and on the other hand,it further regularizes and institutionalizes the public participation behavior.Although there is much literature on ecological civilization,it is seldom to carry out the research on public participation in building ecological civilization from the angle of institution building.In particular,no systematic study on the public participation mechanism in building ecological civilization in Xiangtan has been done and the level of public participation is lagging.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to conduct the study on the public participation mechanism in building ecological civilization.The thesis consists of four parts.The first part serves as an introduction,covering the research background,the significance,the current exploited theories at home and abroad,the basic organization and the research methods.The second part makes the theoretical analysis of the public participation mechanism in building ecological civilization,mainly expounding the connotations of ecological civilization,public participation mechanism,public participation mechanism in building ecological civilization,and the necessity of improving the public participation mechanism in building ecological civilization.The third part is concerned with the present situation,existing problems and causes of the public participation mechanism in building ecological civilization in Xiangtan.The fourth part probes into the feasible solutions of how to improve the public participation mechanism in building ecological civilization in Xiangtan from the perspectives of politics,law and society based on the above analysis.
