Traditional Chinese medicines and herbal medicines are collectively referred to as Chinese herbal medicines, which are the treasure of the Chinese nation.Chinese herbal medicines will inevitably be affected by heavy metals in various aspects. For example, herbal medicines, marine traditional Chinese medicines will be enriched with a certain amount of heavy metal elements due to the influence of soil environment and water quality in growth.Arsenic? As?,mercury?Hg?and selenium?Se?are studied in this paper,Se is an essential element of organism,As and Hg are toxic.Studies showed that the toxicity of organic forms of Hg is higher than inorganic forms, while the toxicity of inorganic forms of As and Se is higher than that of organic forms, but organic selenium has anticancer effect. Therefore, speciation analysis is necessary to reveal the migration and transformation of heavy metal elements in the natural world and their biochemical functions. The representative samples of Anticancer traditional Chinese medicines were selected in this paper, such as oysters that have been repeatedly received by the Pharmacopoeia and have anticancer efficacy, etc.A method for the determination of selenium speciation by HPLC-AFS was established. At the same time, hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry?HAAS?,hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry?HAFS?and Automatic mercury analyzer were used to compare and analyze the Hg content of the dozens of anticancer herbal medicines and herbs selected. The concentrations of Se and As in these anticancer Chinese herbal medicines were measured using HAAS and HAFS.An analytical method was developed to determine the concentration of four selenium species in anticancer marine traditional Chinese medicines. The technique of HPLC-AFS was used to determine the selenium species in anticancer marine traditional Chinese medicines, and the instrument's operating parameters, hydride generation conditions and chromatographic separation conditions were optimized.Samples were treated with ultrasound-assisted protease type XIV pretreatment using a concentration of 5 mmol/L citric acid and pH 4.5 as mobile phase, which can achieve four selenium species:SeCys2,MeSeCys,Se?IV?,SeMet effective separation in 8 minutes. The way has the superiority of simple extraction, high sensitivity, and low equipment operation and many more, which can be applied to selenium speciation analysis in Marine traditional Chinese medicines. The direct solid sampling and two other methods were adopted to compare mercury content in anticancer Chinese herbal medicines.HAAS,HAFS and automatic mercury analyzer were used to determine mercury content in anticancer Chinese herbal medicines, the detection limits, sensitivity and merit and shortcoming of the three ways were compared respectively. The results showed that the automatic mercury analyzer has a lower detection limit, higher sensitivity, better accuracy, and it is convenient and quick because of no need for pretreatment, which is more suitable for quantitative analysis of mercury content in large quantities of anticancer Chinese herbal medicines.A comparative study of HAAS and HAFS was conducted to determine the content of As and Se in anticancer Chinese herbal medicines. The influences of reductant concentration and carrier concentration on the absorbance and fluorescence values were probed separately, and the data was compared systematically. The results showed that the precision of them is good, and the concentration of Se in animal Chinese medicine is higher than that in plants, and most of them are organic selenium beneficial to human body, but the As concentration has little difference. The detection limit of HAFS is low,the stability is good, and it is widely used in the determination of As and Se in samples.
