Molten steel liquid level measurement was one of key technologies to ensure the success of continuous casting steel production.Electromagnetic detection had the advantages such as flexible,high detection accuracy and strong anti-interference.Electromagnetic detection could replace ray detection which was the commonly used to detect molten steel level.Development of liquid level detection system in continuous casting.Electromagnetic detection had become an important research direction.In this thesis,the electromagnetic field simulation of the electromagnetic sensor was done,and a molten liquid level detection system based on electromagnetic detection was designed.The principle,advantages and disadvantages of the detection method which were used to detect the mold level were analyzed in this thesis.The basic principle and theoretical derivation of electromagnetic liquid level detection were introduced,and the feasibility was verified by Ansys Maxwell simulation.An electromagnetic sensor simulation model for detecting the molten steel level was proposed.Electromagnetic field of electromagnetic sensors was analyzed by Ansys Maxwell.The basic steps of3 D electromagnetic field simulation were described in detail,such as electromagnetic sensor simulation model,simulation conditions and post-processing.Separately change the simulation parameters such as iron core,coil and excitation signal of electromagnetic sensor,simulated the different models to explore the impact tend of the sensor precision.Research results had guiding significance to optimization design of the electromagnetic sensor.In this thesis,the molten steel liquid level detection system based on electromagnetic detection was completed.System hardware circuit and PCB board was established by Altium Destgner.Software program of system was established by MPLAB IDE.Anti-interference and detection accuracy were improved by circuit design,signal conditioning and linearization.Human-computer interaction page which could be touched to achieve related functions settings was established by serial port touch screen PC software to ensure the system operation was simple and convenient.The real time and reliability of the system were very strong.The system had the characteristics such as high detection precision,convenient and flexible operation and better economy.The detection precision of the system is within ± 1mm.The actual operation results showed that the system had reached the design requirements,and achieved good practical application and a wide range of market applications.
