In order to study the safe storage life of one explosive,the explosive was aged under the condition of constant temperature(71?)and constant temperature and humidity(71?-80%RH).The effect of aging time and aging conditions on the physical property,safety property,mechanical property and energy output characteristics of samples was studied.The results of physical property test showed that the mass loss rate of aged samples was less than 1%,which met the evaluation criterion of physical property change of explosives in MIL-STD-1751.With the extension of constant temperature aging time at 71?,the mass loss rate increased and the loss was more obvious under the condition of constant temperature and humidity.The results of safety performance test showed that the mechanical sensitivity of aged samples was both decreased on two kinds of aging conditions.Furthermore,the decrease of mechanical sensitivity was more obvious under the condition of 71 ?-80%RH than just at 71 ?.After aging 56 d at71?,the 5 s explosion temperature of samples increased 3K,while the 5s explosion temperature of samples changed not obviously after aging under the condition of 71 ?-80%RH.After aging at 71?,the unit outgassing volume did not change significantly.However,after aging under the condition of 71?-80%RH,the unit out gassing volume increased with the extension of aging time.The unit out gassing volume of samples was higher than 2 ml/g after aging 70 d under the condition of 71?-80%RH.After aging 56 d at 71?,the apparent activation energy decreased by 10.3%.This means the safety of explosive was reduced and the explosive was not suitable for safety using.The results of mechanical property test showed that with the extension of constant temperature aging time,the compressive strength of samples decreased slightly first and then increased by 48%,while tensile strength increased continuously and increased by 107%after aging 56 d.After aging in the environment of constant temperature and humidity,the mechanical property of samples did not change obviously.The compressive strength of samples decreased by 17%and tensile strength increased by 54%after aging 28 d in constant temperature.However,the compressive strength and the tensile strength were changeless When aging more than 28 d in constant temperature.Therefore,temperature has an enhanced effect on the mechanical strength of samples,while humidity has a reduced effect.The results of energy output test showed that the total energy of underwater explosion of the explosive did not change after aging at the condition of constant temperature.However,the total underwater energy of explosive decreased by 5.5%after aging 56 d at the constant temperature and humidity environment,and it was not change with the extension of aging time.The detonation velocity of the sample decreased by 0.74%and 0.37%after aging 28 d and 56 d in constant temperature.With the extension of aging time in constant temperature and humidity,the detonation velocity decreased,and it decreased by 0.81%after aging 70 d.
