At present,alcohol production mainly uses dry,wet or semi-wet corn alcohol production process,while wet or semi-wet alcohol production process is currently most widely and advanced application.In the wet corn and semi-wet corn alcohol process,the role of corn steeping is critical,maize steeping quality and steeping cycle will significantly affect the production and quality of alcohol,feed,corn oil products.Thus,the corn steeping is always considered a key step in the wet corn alcohol production process(including semi-wet)The corn can be fully softened by steeping so that the genn and the fiber are sufficiently separated to obtain the largest starch yield.Meanwhile,the quality of maize steeping were influenced by the species and quality of corn,the temperature of steeping,the pH value of the steeping solution,the steeping cycle(corn immersion time)and other additives.The topic discussed in this research is based on the semi-wet corn alcohol production process currently used by Jilin Fuel Ethanol Co.,Ltd.,through the actual production and experiment,to study all the parameters and influence factors in the corn steeping process of the semi wet alcohol production.The effect of maize steeping,the optimization of maize steeping process is used to explore the advanced maize steeping process technology.The main research results and research contents are as follows:1.Explored the optimization of steeping conditions,according to the results of the determination and data analysis of the various parameters(Such as protein content,sulfurous acid and lactic acid,etc.)of the corn steeping process.2.According to the law summarized by the experiment,the simulation maize steeping system was used to improve the effciency.On the basis of the original process,the conditions of the com steeping were improved,the changes of the parameters in the immersion process were carefully examined,and the influence of the quality of the steeping Factors were determined,thus looking for the current maize alcohol production of the best corn steeping parameters.At the same time,in the experiment,aiming at the problems such as low lactic acid content and easy contamination of the subsequent fermentation,the improvement method wasapplied.The improvement of alcohol yield,the enhancement of economic benefit and the reduction of environmental pollution were achieved through the improvement of steeping process.The optimum conditions for the maize steeping in the semi-wet corn alcohol process were as follows:the concentration of H,S03 was 0.16%,pH3-4,the time of maize being immersed in new acid was 30-36h,and the steeping temperature is 52-58'C,This condition achieved low-acid investment(Less than 0.15%sulfuric acid content);increased crude starch pulp production;shorten the corn steeping cycle(from the traditional corn soak 50h shortened to 36h),thus greatly improved the alcohol and its by-products productive rate.
