Dynamic Optimization Of Batch Operatation Of Penicillin Fermentation Considering Environmental Constraints | | Posted on:2019-03-25 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:R Wang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2371330551457930 | Subject:Chemical Engineering and Technology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | The batch operation of biological fermentation always involves different growth stages of biological cells and has obvious dynamic characteristics.The optimization and control of such processes is always the focus and difficulty for research.So the dynamic optimization method is required to achieve the process.The fed-batch penicillin fermentation process as a typical case of batch bio-fermentation more attentions always would be paid on the production of penicillin and the researches range from the selection of fermentation raw materials to the optimization of fermentation equipment.This article focuses on the dynamic optimization of the penicillin fermentation fed-batch process and discusses the constraint of COD content in wastewater.The main research contents of this article is as follows,1.The dynamic mathematics model of penicillin fermentation process was analyzed in this paper.The appropriate method and solver were selected to optimize the process.In this paper,the penicillin fermentation process was firstly optimized where the penicillin production and yield were selected as objective function and the feed rate was used as the control variable.The optimized results were carried out at different fermentation durations and initial feed rates,and the optimum were determined.The optimal feed curve was found under the optimal fermentation time and the initial feed rate.The two common feed modes was also been discussed and compared with state variables the objective function values for the three feed modes.2.The fed-batch fermentation and subsequent purification of penicillin were analyzed to looking for the main production units of the wastewater.A new a parameter COD(con)was introduced to regulate the control of the wastewater generated during the fermentation and purification processes.In this paper,a constraint was written to describe the Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD)for the effect of COD concentration on the dynamic optimization results research.3.The penicillin fed-batch fermentation process was optimized on industrial level with a 1000 tons penicillin production task per year.The production of a single batch in fermenter was calculated according to the fermentation model,and the dynamic optimization process was conducted in a single batch.The penicillin production of a single fermenter is a constraint,and the minimum value of the theoretical treatment cost of COD in the waste water produced by the penicillin fermentation and purification process in a single batch is calculated as an objective function.The calculation results were discussed including the effects of objective function,the control variable and industrial process parameters under the different feed methods.The variation of process variables and waste water treatment costs under the three feed modes were also compared. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | penicillin fed-batch fermentation, dynamic optimization, constraint conditions, feed rate, industrialization | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
