The Polyoxymethylene(POM)fiber is a newly developed synthetic fiber,has prominent performance in alkali resistance,solvent resistance and seawater corrosion resistance.In the last decade,although the study on the preparation of POM fiber by melt spinning has been growing in both amount and quality,it still pays little attention to prepare POM fiber by using melt electrostatic spinning.In this paper,on the basis of the spinnability of POM,both the thermal stability of different grades of POM and the fluidity at different temperatures were analyzed in detail,and the key technology development of POM fiber prepared by using melt electrostatic spinning without lubricating assistant condition,and the resistances of POM fiber to acid/alkali,UV,methanol,gasoline and seawater corrosion were analyzed thoroughly and systematically by using the self-made melt electrostatic spinning equipment.We overcame the bottlenecks of preparing POM fiber by using melt electrostatic spinning and successfully obtained sub-micron POM fiber and membrane.The experimental result shows that:1.When the value of melt flow rate(MFR)reaches 28 g/10 min or above,it shows excellent spinnability,and the optimization value of MFR is 52 g/10 min.2.The diameter of POM fiber is significantly affected by the effect of spinning temperature,spinning voltage and receiving distance,and the optimum spinning temperature range is from 205 to 210 ?,and also the best temperature is 210 ?.We successfully obtained the diameter of sub-micron POM fiber(0.49 ?m)on the condition of the spinning temperature is 210 ?,spinning voltage is 29.5 kv,and receiving distance is 15 cm,and also obtained the dense surface morphology of membrane on the condition of the spinning temperature is 210 ?,spinning voltage is 19 kv,and receiving distance is 14cm.3.The thermal stability of POM fiber almost the same as that of raw materials,and the crystallinity of POM fiber about 1.5%higher.The retention rate of Elongation at break of POM fiber decreased by 13.2%,15.9%and 20.6%after immersed in sodium hydroxide solutions for 300 h with the concentration of 10%,20%and 30%,respectively.The retention rate of Elongation at break of POM fiber reduced to 70.5%,65.1%and 49.8%after immersed in sulfuric acid solutions for 100 h with the concentration of 3%,6%and 9%,respectively.When it was immersed in methanol,gasoline and seawater for 300 h,the retention rate of Elongation at break of POM fiber reached to above 96.1%.The retention rate of Elongation at break of POM fiber keeps above 85%after exposure to 45 W UV light for 500 h.
