TiO2 has been used to decompose environmental pollutions because of its excellent photocatalytic activity. However, the wide band gap of titanium dioxide limits its application in sunlight. In this paper,a metal organic complex with a certain conjugate structure is used to sensitize TiO2 in order to expand its optical response range from UV to visible light region and improve its pghotocatalytic activity. The main work is as follows:?1?Fe?-8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid complex(Fe?-HQS)was bonded to the surface of TiO2 nanotube, which was prepared by hydrothermal method.?2?The physical and chemical properties of the composite photocatalyst Fe??HQS?3/TiO2 were characterized by XRD,TEM,SEM,BET and UV-vis.?3?The degradation efficiency of phenol under different conditions to synthetize the composite photocatalyst, such as the doping amount of the complex, the hydrothermal synthesis temperature and time had been investigated when a 300W xenon lamp was used as a visible light source.?4?It had been found that the ynergistic degradation of 2,4-two chlorophenol and Cr??? under visible light could be achieved by using Fe??HQS?3/TiO2 nanotube composite photocatalyst effectively. The possible mechanism of synergistic photocatalytic reaction is proposed through the analysis of electrochemistry and active species capture experiments.?5?The composite photocatalyst Fe??HQS?3/TiO2 nanotube was used to kill Escherichia coli and the sterilization process was characterized by SEM. |
