Diamond-like carbon coating is mainly composed of SP~3 and SP~2 bonds.It has many excellent properties similar to diamond.For example,High hardness,good wear resistance,high modulus of elasticity and low friction coefficient,it is used as antiwear and antifriction coating in aerospace,medicine and non-ferrous metal cutting.The Diamond-like carbon coating can be divided into Ta-C coating and hydrogenated diamond-like carbon coating based on the content of SP~2 and SP~3.The SP~3 bond of Ta-C film is higher than that of hydrogenated diamond-like carbon film,and the main component is tetrahedral carbon.In this paper,research the effects of argon ion etching time and the sputtering time of graphite target on the hardness,thickness,bonding strength and friction properties of the Ta-C preparation process by using Ti as the bottom layer,the Ta-C coating tool was prepared by selecting the better argon ion etching time and the sputtering time of the graphite target to be used in the field cutting.The main research work is summarized as follows:1.Research on the preparation and characterization of Ta-C coating.Using 99.9%pure Ti target and 99.9%pure graphite target as raw material,Ta-C coating was prepared on the surface of carbide with different parameters by magnetic filtration Ion Sputtering deposition.The surface morphology,hardness,thickness and bonding strength of Ta-C films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),hardness tester,ball mill thickness gauge,roman spectrometer and indentation test.The results show that The scanning electron microscope showed that the Ta-C coating prepared by argon ion etching 30min and graphite sputtering time 55min is better,and the hardness of Vivtorinox can reach 8870HV.The adhesion strength of the coating on the cemented carbide matrix can be measured to HF1 by the indentation test.The research content provides a theoretical basis for the study of the friction properties of Ta-C coating.2.Study on the tribological properties of Ta-C films under dry friction condition.The tribological properties of the Ta-C coating under dry friction conditions were studied by the UMT-3 reciprocating motion friction test machine prepared on the surface of the cemented carbide matrix with Ta-C and zirconia ceramic beads.The surface of the Ta-C coating and the zirconia surface after friction and wear tests were tested by Raman spectroscopy.The experimental results show that the friction coefficient of the Ta-C coating prepared by the graphite target sputtering 55min is lower than 0.13.A graphite transfer film was formed on the surface of the grinding pair,which played a lubricating role on the Ta-C coating.3.The application of Ta-C coating.The cutting performance of the Ta-C coating prepared by the different sputtering time of the graphite target was compared with the argon ion etching 30min.Then the better Ta-C coating tool prepared by the sputtering time of the graphite target was compared with the hydrogenated diamond like coating tool for the dry cutting performance.Taking 2A50 aluminum alloy as cutting experimental material,VMC-1000 II cutting machine tool is used as the carrier.The results show that the Ta-C coating prepared by graphite target sputtering time at 55min,and the cutting performance is good,with an average roughness of 0.692?m.Compared with hydrogenated diamond-like carbon coating tools,the life of Ta-C coating milling cutters is more than 2 times higher than that of hydrogenated diamond coated tools.
