With the rapid development of morden electromechanical products towards high precision,high efficiency and high speed,higher requirements are put forward on the lubricating materials and technology.Nano molybdenum disulfide?MoS2?,tungsten disulfide?WS2?and other sulfur-based materials possess excellent properties,which have great potential for development in the friction and wear,catalytic,electrical hydrogen storage and nano electronics and other fields.Materials science,tribology and other theroies as guidance,scanning electron microscopy,high temperature friction and wear tester and other equipment as means,a new micro-scale MoS2 lubricant was prepared by chemical method,which tribological properties were investigated on the friction and wear tester,analysed the friction and wear mechanism.Sodium molybdate and thioacetamide acted as molybdenum source and sulfur source,respectively.PEG-20000,CTAC and ethyl alcohol as surfactant,the solution p H value was adjusted with HCl and H2SO4,MoS2 were synthesised successfully by hydrothermal and liquid phase precipitation method.The product was characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.The results show that when p H=1.0,MoS2 with diameter of 70190 nm and spherical and flower-like structure were prepared by hydrothermal method under the action of surfactants.When p H=1.0,MoS2 with diameter of 150300 nm and hollow-like and flower-like structure were prepared.The tribological properties of micro/nano MoS2 were investigated on the friction and wear tester.The results show that under the same addition,the lubricating oil containing micro/nano MoS2 extreme pressure value is bigger than the lubricating oil containing industrial MoS2 extreme pressure,and the wear resistance effect is better.In the coating wear test,the friction coefficient of the micro/nano MoS2 lubrication coating is lower than that of the industrial MoS2 lubrication coatingIn summary,the synthesised micro/nano MoS2 were added in the base oil as an extreme pressure additive to form extreme pressure oil,which improves the extreme pressure performance and wear resistance of base oil.The synthesised micro/nano MoS2 were compounded into a new type of solid lubricating coating material to coat on the moving mechanical parts surface,which improves the high temperature friction coefficient and anti-wear performance of rubbing parts.Through the synthesis and friction and wear experiments,we study the lubrication mechanism of MoS2-based lubricating materials,which lays the foundation for the synthesis technology,organization control and application of nano sulfur solid lubricating materials.
