Zhanjiang Ocean is one of the most important aquaculture area of our country.Various types of aquatic products are exported to overseas and many important domestic city.But in recent years,while the eutrophication deepens,the red tide have occurred,seriously restricting the healthy development of Zhanjiang marine aquaculture,and threatening the health and safety of people.Therefore,using PSP safety monitoring system by foreign countries for reference,this study has determinated the PSP level of samplers from January to December 2013 by ELISA,MBA and HPLC on Zhanjiang Ocean,analyzing its distribution characteristics,and establishing PSP monitoring system for the area on this basis,which can ensure the safety of shellfish.This paper mainly has studied from the following aspects:First,this article have compared ELISA,MBA and HPLC method for the determination of paralytic shellfish poison detection limit,sensitivity and detection efficiency.And establishing the warning value to monitor the level of PSP.Here are the steps.Using ELISA as rapid screening method to detected PSP level of all the samples.If the toxicity is higher than the warning value(36.8?gSTXeq./100g),requires further analysis by MBA and HPLC to verify.On the contrary,samples passed.Second,taking the Jiaowei Bay,Liusha Bay,Southeastern Town,Taiping Town and Dry Town as monitoring points in Zhanjiang Ocean,this paper have carried out the shellfish poisoning monitoring from January to December in 2013.On the one hand,shellfish meat samples are screened PSP preliminary for enzyme-linked immunoassay(ELISA),and then shellfish meat samples,which are exceeding the warning value,are analysed by mouse bioassay(MBA)and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)method.On the other hand,this monitoring have used the microscopic examination to observe and count the cell density of Alexandrium,and determinated the toxic levels of Alexandrium by ELISA technique.After then,we can predominate Zhanjiang Ocean's PSP distribution.The results have showed.First of all,the change of Alexandrium's cell density have appeared as inverted U-shaped,and its range have been from being failed to find to185 cells/L.Furthermore,except January and December,the toxicity level of Alexandrium has been at a low-level state.Last but not least,all shellfish samples can be detected paralytic shellfish poisoning,and the exceeding rate of shellfish visceral masses is 17.9%.Meanwhile,the scallop samples are mainly containing low toxicity toxins,which are C1 and C2.Referring to foreign' PSP safety monitoring system,the study have taken the shellfish of Zhanjiang Ocean as the research object,determined the shellfish species,the monitoring points,sampling frequency,analytical methods and practices and emergency response mechanisms,tried to establish the PSP monitoring system of Zhanjiang Ocean,provided scientific basis to our province,even our country,some security policies and implementations for PSP,and thereby to protect the shellfish safety,promote the healthy development of the shellfish industry.
